When making custom cabinets for home decoration, if the cabinets are designed reasonably, you will get twice the result with half the effort when doing storage and organization; and "drawers" are a crucial design for some cabinets. After adding drawers to these cabinets, the practicality of storage will double!

So which drawers in your home should be equipped with drawers? Here I will list some recommended cabinets with drawers for your reference!

1. It is recommended to install drawers on the sideboard:

In modern families, the dining room is used for dining, chatting over tea, and temporary leisure. The sideboard is the only storage cabinet in the dining room, so the design of this cabinet is extremely important.

In order to improve the storage convenience of the sideboard, it is recommended to make an empty layer in the middle of the sideboard to be used as a placement for cold water kettles and tea sets, while at the same time expanding the visual sense of space in the sideboard area.

It is recommended to install a drawer under the empty space layer. This drawer can be used to store tea, coffee, spare cups, tableware, snacks, toothpicks, dental floss and other items.

2. Wardrobes are recommended to be equipped with drawers:

As a clothes storage, the main body of the wardrobe is still mainly composed of hanging areas and storage compartments with large doors. However, it is difficult to find underwear and socks after putting them in the large compartments.

If you want to make the wardrobe more practical and convenient, it is recommended to install 2-4 drawers on the wardrobe. These drawers can be used to store small items such as underwear, socks, etc., making the classification and storage of the wardrobe more obvious.

Tips: Do not install the drawers of the wardrobe inside the wardrobe door, otherwise you will have to open the wardrobe door to find a pair of underwear, and if the wardrobe door is not fully opened, it will also affect the opening of the drawer!

3. It is recommended to install drawers in the shoe cabinet:

The shoe cabinet is the first cabinet you enter when you get home. By installing drawers on the shoe cabinet, you can store small items you need to take with you when going out, such as masks, gloves, umbrellas, keys, etc., making storage and access convenient and not making the entrance cluttered.

4. It is recommended to install drawers on the TV cabinet:

Nowadays, many people customize TV cabinets that cover the entire TV wall in order to improve storage space. When making customized cabinets for the TV wall, it is recommended to add a row of drawers (below the TV installation grid).

The TV cabinet is the main storage space in the living room. Adding a row of drawers to the TV cabinet can be used to store medicines, nail clippers, daily small items, etc., to avoid the situation where small items are cluttered on the countertop.

5. Cabinets are recommended to be equipped with drawers:

The cabinet is low and deep, and the things placed inside are easy to forget and difficult to access. In order to improve the practicality of cabinet storage, it is recommended to install drawer pull-out baskets on the cabinet so that you don’t have to squat down to find things. You can put bowls, dishes, seasoning bottles, and small food items in them. When the pull-out basket is pulled out, they are clearly visible, making storage and retrieval convenient.

6. It is recommended to install drawers on the dressing table:

If you like to put on makeup and dress up, and have a dressing table at home, it is recommended that the dressing table be equipped with drawers. You can make the drawers into small grids, so that you don’t have to pile up large and small bottles of cosmetics on the countertop. The drawers have small grids for classification and they won’t be in a mess. You can see them at a glance when you pull them out.

7. Bathroom cabinets are recommended to be equipped with drawers:

The bathroom is a small space, and what it lacks most is storage! Therefore, it is recommended to install drawers in the wash basin cabinet in the bathroom, where you can store spare paper towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap and other toiletries.

It is recommended that the cabinets mentioned above be equipped with drawers.

Next, let’s talk about a place where it is not recommended to install drawers, but many people do so – the desk.

In traditional design thinking, it is almost inevitable to install drawers on desks, but the reality is that after installing drawers on desks, the space for feet underneath will be severely compressed, causing our feet to be very uncomfortable when we sit on the desk!
