Case Analysis of Dreaming about a Nanny
Dream description: I dreamt of my nanny who had been dead for over twenty years. She was in a small room with a gray, rice-like sack over her head, which went all the way up to her upper body. She was jumping around (the jumping movements weren't very big). I went over and helped her take off the sack. We sat together, and I talked to her (I don't remember what I said, and it seems like we didn't say much). She seemed unable to speak, only nodding or smiling. Then I woke up.
Note: 1. She is a stroke patient with aphasia.
2. My sisters and I were cared for by her from two months old until we were seven and started school. During the day, our parents would take us to her house or she would come to our house and pick us up. In the evenings, around 5 or 6 pm, our parents would take us home. She and her husband (who had no children of their own) were always very good to us, treating us like their own grandchildren. During the time she passed away, my father was hospitalized, so we didn't visit her for a whole month (she lived in a nursing home; 27 years ago, transportation was very inconvenient, so we usually visited her once every two weeks, bringing some soup, fruit, and braised meat. Back then, you needed ration coupons to buy meat, so it was quite difficult). Suddenly, within a few days, all three of my sisters dreamed that she was dead. We rushed there, but she was already gone. The nursing home didn't notify us (we had her phone number), and we couldn't even get her ashes (it hurts me every time I think about this).
Please help me answer this, thank you!
