Vigorous growth, strong disease resistance, beautiful flowers, a flower fills the yard with fragrance Autumn Rouge

Introduction: Flowers bloom and fall without interruption, and spring comes and goes without correlation. Peonies are most expensive only in late spring, and peonies are abundant only in early summer. Only this flower blooms without getting tired, occupying the four seasons of spring in a year. This is Su Shi's poem praising roses. Roses have been loved by people from ancient times to the present. There are tens of millions of rose varieties, some of which attract people with their fragrance; some attract people with their appearance; some are widely concerned with their unique flower shapes; and some are widely planted with strong disease resistance and good adaptability. Today, Shuguang will show you a rose variety that has both appearance and fragrance, and is very unique. Be good at sharing good things, I hope you like it!

Its name is "Autumn Rouge", a rose variety bred by Japanese breeder Hiroshi Ogawa in 2012. It belongs to the Eve variety of multi-generation hybrid system, and can be said to be a distant relative of Eve rose. It inherits the strong fragrance of Eve series roses, and avoids the general weakness of Eve series roses in disease resistance. It has very good adaptability and disease resistance, and has been widely planted for its unique color changes and charming fragrance. Because of its good performance, it is very suitable for novice cultivation.

Features of Autumn Rouge Rose:
Growth performance: Autumn Rouge is a medium-sized shrub cut rose variety. (Ground planting) The plant height is between 120-150 cm, and some flower lovers also cultivate it as a small climbing rose. (Pot planting) The growth is controlled by pruning, and the plant height and crown width are about 50-60 cm. The plant has a very good upright shape and many branches. It can grow naturally into a lush and leafy form without pruning. There are small transparent thorns on the branches, and the stems are upright and not dense. The branches are soft, and if they are not pruned properly, this variety is prone to horizontal growth. But if it is grafted into a tree-shaped rose, the shape will be very beautiful. Potted plants are planted in pots the size of a No. 3 gallon pot, which is very suitable for balconies, terraces and courtyards.

Flower performance: Autumn Rouge flowers can be considered medium-to-large flowers, with a diameter of 8-10 cm. The flower shape is round and full, a typical deep cup-shaped classical flower shape, and very double petals. The color of the flower is magenta or black and red. The number of petals is between 80-100, the inner side of the petals has a velvety texture, and the petals are thin. The petals are stacked and embraced, the whole flower is very full and round, and it also has a very pleasant fragrance. It is really like a "goddess", with a graceful and elegant demeanor, which pierces your sight at the first time and makes people unable to stop.

The color of the Autumn Rouge is obviously affected by the season, temperature, light and other factors. Different colors of flowers will bloom in different seasons, and a flower will also show different colors at different stages. Generally speaking, the flowers in spring are dark red, and in summer, due to the high temperature, they will bloom magenta flowers (the color is lighter). When the temperature is low in autumn and winter, the color of the flowers will turn into purple, a mysterious, elegant, romantic purple, which is very beautiful.

Flower quantity: The flowering performance of Autumn Rouge is also remarkable. It blooms very diligently, and there are flowers on every branch. Especially for the larger Autumn Rouge plants, whether it is spring or autumn flowers, as long as the nutrient supply is sufficient and the light is good, the tree will be full of flowers. You can only see the flowers but not the leaves. Watching the flowers blooming in groups is refreshing. Autumn Rouge blooms very frequently, blooms quickly, and can continue to bloom for many seasons.

Flowering period: The flowering period of a single flower of Autumn Rouge is 7 days, and the flowering period will be shorter in the summer when the temperature is high. The flowering period is all year round, from April to November. In the southern areas where the winter is not too cold, it can bloom until the Minor Snow solar term, and the flowering period of a single flower will be longer in winter. Whether it is a single flower or a group of flowers, Autumn Rouge has first-class ornamental value.

Flower fragrance: The flowers of Autumn Rouge are not only beautiful but also have a strong fragrance, which is also its biggest feature. It is a sweet lychee fruit fragrance, which is particularly comfortable to smell. The fragrance is strong, volatile, fragrant, thick, mellow, sweet but not greasy. It is also an excellent cut flower variety. After blooming, you only need to pick a bunch of flowers and put them at home to make the whole house fragrant, which is comparable to perfume. What's more magical is that as a cut flower, it will turn into a mysterious purple after a few days of being inserted into a vase. This is another feature of Autumn Rouge. Isn't it a magical flower?

Disease resistance: Autumn Rouge has good disease resistance and generally does not suffer from diseases and insect pests. Even if it is infected with a small amount of diseases and insect pests, it can be cured in time with medication. This is also a major factor for many people to choose to grow Autumn Rouge, and it is also a major reason why I recommend it to novices.

Adaptability: Autumn Rouge has strong adaptability to the environment, grows fast, and the plants are tall and strong. In most areas where it can adapt, in the south and the north, Autumn Rouge can grow well and bloom continuously. It does not require much effort to manage when planted in an environment with sufficient light and good ventilation.

Heat resistance: Autumn Rouge has an above-average heat resistance, and can produce standard flower shapes in summer, but the petals are relatively thin. It is not very resistant to sunlight, otherwise the flowers will fall apart after one day of opening.

The main points of autumn rouge cultivation are as follows:
1. Lighting
Autumn Rouge likes sunlight very much. Sufficient sunlight can make the plant grow strong. The flowers are not resistant to sunlight during high temperature periods. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight after flowering for potted plants, and shade for ground planting, so that it can bloom for a few more days.

2. Watering
Autumn Rouge is the same as other roses. Water it when it is dry and wet. It does not need to be watered too much. In the summer when the temperature is high, it can be watered once a day. At other times, water it when the surface of the pot soil turns white. It is less troublesome to plant it in the ground. If the land is low and it rains continuously, drain it in time. When watering, do not splash water on the leaves to prevent diseases.

3. Fertilization
Autumn Rouge needs more nutrients because it blooms a lot and has a strong fragrance. In winter, you should bury fermented organic fertilizer around the root system; in spring, you can spread (shallowly bury) nutritionally balanced compound fertilizer (once a month) from budding to leafing and branching; and apply high-phosphorus and potassium water-soluble fertilizer (once a week, with a ratio of 1:1000) from before budding to the time when the flower buds start to color. This will achieve good results.

4. Pay attention to pruning
Because Autumn Rouge grows fast, you should cut off those bad steep and overly dense branches, and cut off the remaining flowers after flowering. Reduce the spread of pests and diseases. Pruning can be done in winter according to the plant shape. If it is cultivated as a small vine, the thick shoots should be pulled in time when they grow to a certain height, otherwise it will be difficult to handle after they become woody.

5. Pay attention to disease prevention
Autumn roses are relatively disease-resistant, but it is best to take appropriate preventive measures in spring, summer and autumn. Spraying medicine once a month is best. When insect pests occur, use medicine to prevent and control them in time. The strong fragrance easily attracts thrips, so special attention should be paid to prevent young leaves and flower buds from being infested.

6. Environmental requirements
Autumn Rouge grows best in a sunny and well-ventilated environment. It likes loose, well-drained, breathable, and humus-rich soil.

7. Others
The branches of the Autumn Rose are thin and soft, and tend to droop when there are many flowers. It is necessary to tie them with thin sticks as support to avoid reducing the ornamental value. Or use a flower pot stand to raise the flower pot, and use it as a hanging rose to show the shyness of "Rose Lin Daiyu", which is lovable.
