Step 1:
Panel production
After the old house was demolished and rebuilt, a pine floor with a width of 45cm was left. I didn't know what to do with it at first. After thinking it over again and again, I decided to make a small personalized coffee table. First, I used a hand saw to cut a rectangular wooden board with a length of 70cm, a width of 40cm, and a thickness of 3cm as the tabletop. Then I used a log drill to drill a 4cm diameter round hole at the two oblique angles to install the two wooden legs of the coffee table.


Step 2:
Wooden leg joints
First, cut two 5*5*40cm square woods to serve as two obliquely symmetrical wooden legs of the coffee table. Then use a wood drilling machine to drill a round hole with a diameter of 4cm and a depth of about 3cm on one end of the square wood (as shown in the picture). Then make a cylindrical wood with a diameter of about 4cm, and buckle the round wood into the round holes of the coffee table legs and the tabletop, which is equivalent to the role of a round wooden tenon, and apply glue to fix it.


Step 3:
Wooden Leg Shaping
After the two wooden legs are made, use a grinder (or a jigsaw) to shape the wooden legs of the coffee table. Here I made the wooden legs of the coffee table into an inward waist shape (as shown in the picture). You can use a grinder or a jigsaw. When making it, do not damage the joints of the table legs (I found out later that the shaping should be done before installing the wooden legs).


Step 4:
Steel bar legs
Apply woodworking glue to two 5cm diameter logs, install them at diagonal positions (as shown in the picture), and reinforce them with wood screws. Then use a bench vise to make the steel bar into an arc (pipe) shape according to the height of the small coffee table's legs and the length of the coffee table, and then use a hand drill to drill a 2.5cm diameter round hole on the log, and also drill a corresponding round hole on the wooden leg of the coffee table to fix the steel bar arc leg, and finally install the steel bar leg.


Step 5:
Sanding and painting
First, use logs to fill in the notches on the coffee table legs. Then, sand it. Use coarse sandpaper to sand along the wood grain from beginning to end, then use fine sandpaper of the corresponding mesh. After sanding, clean the surface sawdust and dust. Then, it is recommended to apply some retro paint and apply it several times, keeping the natural wood grain and scars on the pine board.
