These five types of soil are best for growing flowers!
You need soil to grow flowers, but not all soils are suitable for growing flowers. If you use raw soil or soil mixed with lime slag or slag to grow flowers, all the flowers will die because these soils are hard, lack fertilizer, or contain corrosive impurities, or have poor water absorption and drainage performance. Generally, there are five types of soils suitable for growing flowers:
Sandy soil: Pure fine sandy soil is the main component of soil mix. It contains no humus, has very little alkali, is light and has strong drainage. In addition to being used as potting soil and bed soil during reproduction, it can also be made into manure soil in different proportions, such as "one-nine" manure soil, which is one percent manure and nine percent sandy soil. Most potted flowers, except for southern flowers such as white orchid, jasmine, camellia, and azalea, are suitable for cultivation in sandy soil.
3. Clay soil: Spread the clay in the open field, expose it to wind, rain and sun, and turn it over frequently before it can be used. It is generally used as potting soil and soil for cuttings of southern flowers such as white orchid, magnolia, jasmine, and orchid.
4. Mix dry manure with soil: Use well-rotted manure and mix according to the required amount. For flowers with lush growth, mix 80% soil and 20% manure; for general flowers, mix 90% soil and 10% manure. The characteristic of this kind of soil is its long-lasting fertility, and it is best to add it when repotting.
5. Commonly used potting soil: Generally, the most suitable potting soil for planting coffin flowers is a mixture of 60% soil, 20% sand, and 20% manure or animal manure. For example, for hydrangeas and begonias, the proportion of sand can be increased appropriately. Such soil has strong drainage, is most effective in retaining moisture, and is conducive to root development. Flowers transplanted from the south to the north are generally suitable for slightly acidic soil.
Different types of flowers have different requirements for soil conditions. The same flower also has different requirements for soil conditions at different growth and development stages. Therefore, the application of culture soil should be selected according to the type and biological characteristics of different flowers. The reproduction and cultivation of various types of flowers have special requirements for soil.
