The list of "50 Best Foods in the World" has been released, and I, on behalf of China, disagree!

CNN in the US recently compiled a list of the '50 Best Foods in the World,' which is really intriguing.

After Xiao U saw the entire list, well, it was hard to put into words...

Although CNN painstakingly compiled a list of as many as 50, I'm really too lazy to list the complete list. Just take a look at the top 15...

15

American Carua Roasted Pig

Kalua roasted pig is a traditional Hawaiian dish, prepared in an epic way. A whole pig is roasted in an underground sand pit for 6-7 hours, resulting in a very crispy and non-greasy dish.

14

USA - Donuts

There's no need to elaborate on these American favorites, donuts. They simply love sweets so much that they consider donuts a top choice for afternoon tea, even though they are really high in calories...

13

Global Boiled Corn

What? Boiled corn is ranked 13th?

Little U doesn't want to go into any more details...

12

British - Meat and Potato Pie

Some might say England's greatest inventions are the steam engine and the Jaguar E-Class, but CNN argues it's the hamburger, a staple food in Britain, filled primarily with potatoes, meat, and vegetables.

11

Padang Beef from Indonesia

It looks like curry beef, but tastes completely different. It uses unique local seasonings—spices. After half a day of marinating and several hours of cooking, the various spices blend into the beef, making it both fragrant and tender!

10

Gabon's Anbaji

Traditional Amba chicken is marinated with red chilies, garlic, and pepper, then slowly stewed with tomatoes and okra, with plenty of butter added to make the chicken even more delicious.

9

American Ice Cream

CNN believes that even if you're already very full, you can still eat ice cream. While I (Little U) do love ice cream, being ranked 9th best food in the world? Seriously? My Minnan Four-Fruit Soup disagrees!

8

Thai Tom Yum Goong

A signature Thai dish, it includes shrimp, mushrooms, tomatoes, lemongrass, galangal, and more, and is usually served with coconut milk and cream, blending various Thai flavors: sour, salty, spicy, and sweet. Little U loves it too!

7

Assam Laksa, Penang, Malaysia

CNN considers Assam Laksa to be the most popular dish in Malaysia. During the cooking process, the fish is shredded into small pieces, and the addition of laksa leaves, belacan, tamarind, and assam fruit slices brings out the sourness, resulting in a rich and flavorful broth.

6

German Hamburger

CNN's reasoning is: humans spend $20 billion a year on hamburgers, so they have to be on the list! But if we're just talking about sales volume, doesn't our great Chinese snack, Shaxian Snacks, deserve a mention?

5

Peking Duck, China

The secret to Peking duck's appeal to diners lies in its sweet and glossy crispy skin. Authentic diners tend to eat more skin than meat, wrapping the sweet, juicy, crispy skin in thin pancakes, along with scallions and sauce—a truly irresistible treat.

4

Japan · Sushi

This simple combination of ingredients and rice has become a top choice for first dates for couples worldwide. CNN even suggests that the Japanese longevity is due to their consistent consumption of this type of food.

3

Mexican Chocolate

As early as the Mayan era, people drank chocolate. Cocoa beans, originally unremarkable, later became a significant part of people's lives and even a symbol of sweet love. However, what's number 3 on the list?

2

Italian Naples Pizza

CNN believes that the best pizza, both in the past and present, is still the simple Neapolitan pizza, an invention now protected by its trade association with strict requirements on ingredients and cooking methods.

1

Thai Massaman Curry

Massaman curry is known as the king of curries, blending spiciness, coconut flavor, sweetness, and saltiness together. Even if you buy packaged seasoning from the supermarket, you can make it taste like Michelin-level. You can eat three big bowls of rice with it!

Popcorn, donuts, corn on the cob, potato chips, ketchup, hamburgers... these are all on the list!
