The first step in flower arrangement is to understand the flowers that florists love to use.

Why don’t we think flowers look good without the finishing touch of a florist? The mission of a florist is simple yet sacred – to discover beauty, select beauty, and convey beauty. In their hands, countless unknown flowers sparkle, become internet celebrities, and are highly sought after.

The holidays are over, and I finally have the courage to go to the flower market. This afternoon, I took some time to go to the nearby flower market. As expected, almost all the flowers that florists love to use are available in the market.

South African family

I used to feel the same as everyone else. I could see unknown flowers... and branches in the flower market every season. But, because I didn’t understand them, I had no feelings or good impressions, so I passed by and missed them.

In the flower market, flowers with large buds usually attract the most attention, such as the rose family; flowers with small buds or no buds are always ignored by customers. Moreover, many people only choose the main flowers when buying flowers, and rarely or even do not buy supporting flowers. Before purchasing, florists will have 2-3 main flowers and 5-8 supporting flowers in mind, and even think about the color scheme.

This is one of the reasons why even after buying so many flowers, the flowers still don’t look good.

But the recently popular Dutch raw-edge gerbera has a slightly different shape from the previous gerberas. First of all, it is pink in color, a very girly color, and is nicknamed "Cream Spring".

Secondly, the shape of the petals is different. The petals of traditional gerbera are neat and smooth, while the petals of cream spring are like afro, messy, narrow and pointed. At first glance, you might think they are cut out of paper.

The "pink" of Cream Spring is a low-saturation pink. Compared with other highly saturated colors such as rhubarb, orange, and red, it naturally has a cold attribute. Therefore, it looks much more noble than ordinary gerberas.

However, if it is just inserted alone without any matching flowers, it will be a bit monotonous.

How do florists do it? There are 100 creative options for the same flower:

Cream spring is suitable for matching with pink and light-colored flowers. Choosing dark-colored wrapping paper can highlight its pink color. If you use light-colored wrapping paper and choose yellow and white materials, it will have a more spring feel.

If the wrapping paper is transparent, it will enhance the feeling of lightness and make it more ethereal.

Almost all florists will not use too many flowers, 1-3 flowers are enough, not too many, but enough to attract attention. In addition to being sweet, if you use a lot of natural flowers, it can also be quite competent for country style.

/Anemone /

Anemone, also known as North China Anemone and Verbascum Anemone, is a plant of the genus Anemone in the family Ranunculaceae, and is a relative of the peony. It is slender, not too strong, nor too weak, elegant but not cold.

There are about 150 species in the world, mainly distributed in the northern hemisphere, concentrated in Asia and Europe. There are many colors, basically everything you can think of.

The pistil is a little black, which is special enough. This also makes it very changeable. Changing the color is like changing a face. It can handle dark style, retro European style, and country style. However, it is really not something that a novice can handle.

Super retro, gorgeous, and complex European style, about a dozen kinds of flowers are used, and one pot of flowers can stun a room of people. The silver anemone hides in it, performing a big show with all the flowers, not arrogant, nor inferior. There may be more luxuriant double-petal main flowers around it, but it is hard to say who is the foil. The "central black hole" is an existence that cannot be ignored:

Anemone has many meanings. In Greek, it means "wind" and seems to be blown by the wind.

If you abandon the complicated European style and go for a country style instead, you can choose subtle green flowers to complement the anemones, which will look like a fresh summer breeze.

It is changeable and malleable. Which side of anemone do you like more? Or which side of your heart can anemone inspire?

/Acacia /

Acacia is a plant species of the genus Acacia in the family Mimosaceae. It is widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions around the world, with the most species in Oceania and Africa. The flowering period is from March to October.

It is also the national flower of Australia, symbolizing friendship, and acacia can be seen everywhere on Australian streets.

When I saw the acacia tree, it was hard to imagine that it could be used as a fresh cut flower. However, when I saw how it looked after being cut, I had to say that it was really suitable!

Not only does golden yellow have a good connotation, but it is also different from the country-style gold of the nouveau riche. It is auspicious and lively. Is there any color more pleasing than this?

For florists, it is a very good material. With acacia, the whole work will brighten up and be full of the breath of spring.

3-4 whole branches are suitable for European country-style works with a grand shape. Several small branches are randomly inserted into the main flower. It is difficult to tell whether they are flowers or grasses, and there is a sense of vigorous vitality.

Acacia is indeed a flower material that you like more and more the more you look at it. It can also be made into dried flowers and can be stored for a long time. It is recommended to keep it~

/Bluebells/

Campanula, also known as bell flower, tube flower, bell flower, etc. The bell-shaped flower resembles a wind chime, and the color is bright and elegant. It is very popular in Europe. It is a common herbaceous flower in small gardens in late spring and early summer. It is often used to express health, gentleness, and loveliness.

Hearing the name and seeing the appearance, it reminds us of wind chimes. A gust of wind blows by, it must be a light breeze, and the sound of the wind chimes is very beautiful.

Common colors include white, pink, and purple, with fuzz on the petals. At first glance, it looks like a very common little flower.

It can be used as a decorative flower. The bellflower is in the lower left corner of the picture below.

However, the light pink and blue-purple of bluebells are more dangerous. If you are not careful, they will give off an urban-rural atmosphere. If you are not a professional florist, you may plant them in a ditch. The safest way is to keep the same color or gradient color, so that it does not look messy:

Because they belong to the Campanulaceae family, they look really harmonious when put together

Bluebells and anemones go well together. In addition to glass vases, it is best to choose metal silver or copper vases, which will be particularly elegant (don’t ask me how I know). . .

/Freesia/

Freesia is a perennial bulbous herbaceous flower belonging to the genus Freesia of the Iridaceae family. It is also known as freesia, small iris, scissors orchid, plain fragrant orchid, fragrant iris, and foreign tuberose.

The yellow variety is commonly seen on the market, and its smell is extremely fragrant. Some people once said that it is the "most fragrant" flower in the flower world, but in terms of fragrance, it is still a matter of opinion compared with peony.

The whole plant is delicate and graceful enough.

Freesias are native to the Cape of Good Hope in southern Africa. There are about 20 species, which are often divided into red, yellow, white, blue and other cultivated varieties according to flower color. Freesias bloom early, have bright colors, fragrant flowers, and a long flower arrangement period. They can be supplied and marketed in early spring and the Spring Festival. They can be cultivated as cut flowers or potted in greenhouses.

According to legend, in the early 18th century, this flower was still in the wild. One day, a Dutch noble lady went hunting with her lover in South Africa and saw this exotic flower for the first time. She loved it very much and later picked it herself and brought it back to Europe. The fragrant flower was blown to the snow along the way by the wind, and even the ice and snow were stained with rich fragrance. People gave it a beautiful name: freesia.

The flower language of freesia is: purity, affection, fragrance, happiness, freshness and comfort.
