The exposed curtain track is too ugly. The designer listed 6 ways for me to fix it. Now it finally looks good.

Curtains are a very important part of home soft furnishings, but they can cause headaches for many homeowners - after the curtains are installed, the exposed curtain tracks are super ugly. How can you cover the exposed curtain tracks?

I consulted a designer who has installed hundreds of houses and he listed the following 6 ways to cover the curtain track. I would like to share them with you~

The first one is more familiar to everyone and is also a very traditional way of covering - using a curtain box .

During decoration, if you think the exposed curtain track is too ugly, you will generally use wood boards as a base, and then use gypsum boards to make curtain boxes on the top of the window. In this way, the entire curtain track can be hidden in the curtain box and be completely invisible.

The second is to use the suspended ceiling to cover the curtain track!

The suspended ceiling is divided into partial suspended ceiling and overall suspended ceiling. Most families will choose a circular suspended ceiling, which can just cover the curtain track. With the addition of light strips, it seems as if the entire curtain track is inside the suspended ceiling. It is perfectly hidden without blocking the view, and the decorative effect is also good.

Of course, if the ceiling height of your home is lower than 2.8 meters or the house is relatively small, it is not recommended to install an overall suspended ceiling. A partial suspended ceiling is more suitable.

Just make a partial ceiling on the wall where the window appears to be and cover the curtain track.

The third method is to use interior beams to achieve covering.

Generally, there are beams at balconies and windows. If the beams are pulled down 40cm, it is more than enough to completely cover the curtain track. Therefore, the beams here are not only not a burden, but also play a big role. If you have such beams at home, you must not remove them, as they are just right for covering the curtain track.

The fourth type is the top suction curtain track.

Generally, curtain tracks are installed sideways on the wall above the window, but you can also choose curtain tracks that are mounted on the ceiling. The track itself is very small, so as the curtains hang straight down, the track will not be exposed at all, which is super practical!

The fifth is to use the top corner line (gypsum line)

Nowadays, many families do not install suspended ceilings due to the floor height issues. Instead, they choose to install a circle of top corner lines (gypsum lines), which do not suppress the floor height and are as aesthetically pleasing as decorative suspended ceilings, and are also cheaper!

When following the top corner line, the curtain track needs to be widened by 4 cm. This way, it covers the curtain track without hindering the opening and closing of the curtains.

The sixth is to use the base plate

Running the curtain track on the baseboard will not be as obtrusive as an exposed curtain track.
