Summer home care tips, please check them out! Bonus at the end!

Many people mistakenly believe that if a house is well-decorated, it doesn't need maintenance, but this is incorrect! Maintaining your home can extend its lifespan and make it more comfortable and reassuring to use in daily life. Therefore, proper maintenance of your home is very important.

Today I want to share with you some information about the hottest part of the year, summer.

The most practical home maintenance tips.

-

 //  Fabric/Leather Sofas/Soft Beds:

In summer, the gaps in sofas and soft beds easily absorb sweat and produce odors. Wipe them with a dry cloth more often, especially leather materials. Use a special leather conditioner to clean and maintain the leather to better soften it and prevent moisture and mold.

Summer has plenty of sunshine, so avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight to prevent localized fading or discoloration.

The sofa must be placed on a flat surface, and it is generally recommended to put a soft pad underneath it to prevent scratching the floor when moving it.

 //Wooden Furniture Section:

In summer, it's important to maintain wooden furniture by regularly dusting it . Prepare a soft, dry towel (never wet). Gently wipe the surface of the furniture, following the wood grain to remove dust. Avoid using any cleaning agents to prevent irritating the furniture surface.

For routine maintenance, you can use a professional wood furniture cleaner to help remove air pollutants, grease, excess wax, etc. from the furniture.

To avoid direct contact with air conditioning , the ideal temperature for wooden furniture is between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. Temperatures that are too high or too low can shorten the lifespan of the furniture. Therefore, it's important to avoid placing furniture near air conditioning vents, as drastic temperature changes can damage the furniture's exterior and shorten its lifespan.

 //Wooden Doors Section:

Summer is also a crucial time for preventing moisture damage to wooden doors, as dampness can easily cause them to crack, peel, or warp .

Leave a gap of about 10mm at the bottom of the door to prevent the door frame from warping and to prevent moisture from getting in.

When stains appear, wipe them with a soft cloth and regularly wax the wooden doors to keep them shiny and bright.

Do not wipe doors with a damp cloth . Summer brings frequent heavy rains, which can cause the doors to become damp. Wiping wooden doors with a damp cloth may increase the moisture content of the door panels and reduce their lifespan.

 //  Wall Section:

In addition to hot and humid days, summer also brings many humid and rainy days, especially in the south, where the occasional "return to spring" weather occurs.

To prevent furniture from developing various problems due to moisture, firstly, furniture placed against the wall should be kept apart from the wall. Because of the humidity in summer, walls may experience dampness, causing condensation. Maintaining a gap between the furniture and the wall allows for ventilation and reduces the chance of direct moisture absorption.

Indoor flower arrangements, potted plants, and other greenery should also be kept out of direct sunlight to avoid affecting their growth.
