There are seven taboos to keep your furniture in good condition:
1. Avoid placing heavy objects on top of wardrobes or other furniture, as this can cause the doors to bulge and not close properly; also avoid piling up too many clothes, or exceeding the door's width, to prevent warping.
2. Avoid exposing furniture to direct sunlight or placing it in excessively dry areas, as this can cause the wood to crack and warp.
3. Avoid placing furniture in very humid places, as this can cause the wood to swell and rot over time, and drawers may become difficult to open.
4. Avoid dragging or pulling during transport; lift and place furniture gently. Furniture should be placed flat and stable. If the ground is uneven, the legs should be shimmed to prevent damage to the mortise and tenon structure.
Avoid placing heavy objects on top of wardrobes or other furniture to prevent the doors from bulging and not closing properly. Do not pile too many clothes on top of the doors to prevent deformation.
Do not wash plywood furniture with water or wipe it with a cloth. Never soak it in alkaline water to prevent the plywood from coming apart or delaminating.
Do not mix paint and putty of a different color with the original paint and then fill cracks in the furniture, as this will leave scars.
7. Avoid washing furniture with alkaline water or boiling water, or placing hot items such as high-concentration alcohol, banana oil, or freshly boiled water on the tabletop to prevent damage to the paint surface.
