Regarding curtain tracks, should we use sliding rails or Roman rods? Here are the advantages and disadvantages of sliding rails and Roman rods.
Generally, there are two ways to hang curtains: one is a sliding track with a string of pull rings in the middle; the other is a Roman rod, which is a rod with rings in the middle and the two ends are blocked with heads larger than the rings. As for the materials, colors, and prices, it all depends on your preference and what kind of track is suitable for the window.

Slideway straight rail
1. Ordinary straight rail
The sliding rail has a simple shape and is usually installed on the ceiling. It will be blocked by a curtain box, plaster line, or suspended ceiling because it looks better when blocked. In general, you can decide whether to use Roman rods or sliding rails based on whether to install a suspended ceiling.

2. Ultra-thin straight rail
Some windows are inward-opening, and ordinary straight tracks will block the opening and closing of the windows. At this time, ultra-thin tracks must be used. Normally, the thickness of this type of track is about 0.8 cm, and the thickness including the installation code is about 1 cm.

▲ Inward opening windows can only use ultra-thin straight rails
▲ Ultra-thin rails can also be used for ordinary windows
3. Straight rail connector
The length of the track is usually no more than 4 meters. If the window is wide, and the longer track is not easy to transport, we will divide the track into sections. If you want the entire curtain to be a whole, then you will need a track connector.

Slideway curved track
1. Ordinary curved track
Not every window is straight, there are many special-shaped windows, such as L-shaped, U-shaped, etc. At this time, we need to use curved tracks. Curved tracks are more flexible and can be bent into corresponding tracks according to the shape of the window.
2. Slide rail turning device
To bend a perfect track with ordinary curved rails, you need to have rich operating experience. If the operation is improper, the curtains will get stuck, which will seriously affect the use of the curtains. If you want to avoid this situation, we can also use a slide rail turner.
The corner turner is only used for 90-degree right-angle window turns. The corner turner can be easily installed by docking the track.

Ordinary Roman rod
1. Ordinary Roman rod
Roman rods have various beautiful shapes. They are usually installed on the wall. They look better when exposed. If they are to be covered, a large space is required, so they are usually not covered. Roman rods are usually installed when there is no curtain box. Roman rods can be selected in different shapes and colors according to the home environment or your own preferences.
There are also many flower head styles, you can choose the style you like
2. Roman rod connector
Like the sliding rails, the Roman rods are usually no longer than 4 meters. If the window is wide, and the longer rails are difficult to transport, we will divide the rails into sections. If you want the entire curtain to remain a whole, then you will need a rail connector.

Roman rod curved track
1. Ordinary Roman rod curved track
When you encounter special-shaped windows (L-shaped windows, U-shaped windows, etc.) and there is no curtain box, and you want to install a Roman rod, then the Roman rod curved track is the best choice. The Roman rod curved track has the same strong plasticity as the slide curved track, and can be bent into the shape you want.
2. Roman rod turning device
Ordinary curved rails still test the experience and skills of the installers. If you want to save trouble, the Roman rod turner is the best choice. There are generally two types of Roman rod turners, folding turners and spring turners.

Curtain head track
If there is no curtain box, you need to use the curtain head track to install the curtain head. The curtain head track is similar to the ordinary slide rail, and has strong plasticity. Generally, the curtain head track is 20-30cm longer than the width of the curtain to ensure that the curtain can be completely wrapped.
