Meibang Cleaning Tips: Five Rules for Daily Furniture Cleaning; Methods for Repairing Light Scratches and Deep Refurbishing Floors; Cleaning and Maintenance Methods for Tile Stains.

In daily life, our furniture often gets stained for various reasons, which greatly reduces its lifespan. This is essential knowledge for home maintenance. Today, I've summarized five rules for daily furniture cleaning, hoping they will be helpful for cleaning your furniture in your daily life.

Firstly, with economic development and improved living standards, we've made significant efforts in improving people's health and safety. Especially for children, milk has become an essential item in their lives, as families want their children to grow up quickly. But if milk expires and can't be drunk, don't throw it away. Soak a clean cloth in the milk, then use it to wipe wooden furniture like tables; it's very effective at removing dirt. Finally, remember to wipe it again with clean water, otherwise, milk residue and a milky smell will remain. This method is suitable for various types of leather, lacquered, and marble furniture.

Second: Most men enjoy drinking beer, so most households have a little beer in stock. However, beer has another use: cleaning, and it's particularly effective at cleaning the home. If housewives learned how to use beer to clean their homes, they would love it too. Boil about 1400 ml of light-colored beer, add 14 grams of sugar and 28 grams of beeswax, and stir well. After the mixture cools, use a soft cloth to apply it to wooden surfaces. Once the stains are removed, wipe away any remaining residue with clean water, and finally dry with a soft, dry cloth.

Thirdly, eggs are delicious, and they also have many uses. Egg whites can effectively remove the stubborn dirt and grime from white leather sofas, a real headache. Take a suitable amount of egg white, dip a cotton cloth in it, and repeatedly wipe the dirtier areas of leather products such as sofas. This method is particularly effective for cleaning leather products, and egg whites also have a certain polishing effect, leaving the leather with its original shine.
Fourthly, China has a tradition of drinking tea, and tea is not only good for drinking but also for cleaning. For painted furniture that has become dusty, you can wrap slightly damp tea leaves in gauze and wipe it, or wipe it with a dry cloth dipped in cold tea water, which will make the furniture exceptionally bright and shiny. However, after wiping the furniture with tea water, remember to wipe it clean with a slightly damp cloth dipped in clean water. This is because tea often leaves stains, which can affect the original color of the furniture if left on the painted surface.

    5. Toothpaste isn't just for cleaning teeth; it can also be used for home tidying. Over time, the white paint on furniture will yellow, making it look old and unappealing. You can gently apply a little toothpaste or tooth powder to the affected area with a cloth. The bleaching effect of the toothpaste will help restore the furniture's white color. However, avoid rubbing vigorously, as the abrasives in toothpaste or tooth powder can wear away the paint and damage the furniture's surface.

In fact, many items around us can be used to care for furniture. Solid wood furniture, in particular, requires more care. By paying more attention to what happens around us and using our imagination to experiment boldly, we can turn waste into treasure. The concept of energy conservation and environmental protection should also be incorporated into home furnishings.

Methods for repairing shallow scratches and deep refinishing floors

   shallow scratch repair solution

  1. Mix the cleaning agent and water at a ratio of 1:50, and use a polishing machine (with the cleaning cloth wrapped around the pad) to clean the floor. If the floor is very dirty, it must be cleaned again with a special sanding mat or sandpaper after cleaning.

  2. After thoroughly cleaning the floor surface, apply a polishing agent with a special mop.

This solution can restore the original shine to wood floors, repair shallow scratches and abrasions, and remove stubborn stains (including black shoe prints from the court). The polish will not make the floor slippery. Although the wood floor already has a layer of varnish for protection, adding another layer of polish can effectively increase the floor's wear resistance, reduce the frequency of renovation, and save money.

Using a polish to maintain wood floors is more scientific and reasonable than using floor wax. This is because when using wax-based polishes to refinish floors, the floor must be sanded down to the bare surface before applying the finish. If the new finish is applied directly, it will be difficult for the new paint to adhere. Using a polish avoids this hassle; the finish can be applied directly over the existing surface, making floor refinishing much simpler.

  Deep renovation

  1. Using professional sanding equipment and European construction techniques, the old paint on the floor is sanded off and the surface is smoothed through multiple processes, including coarse, medium, and fine sanding.

  2. Use the fine wood shavings from sanding to mix putty and apply it evenly to the floor to fill the gaps.

   3. After polishing and cleaning the floor, apply professional water-based floor paint. Using a sander during application will not generate dust that pollutes the surrounding environment; the high-quality paint will not have an irritating odor and is completely free of harmful substances such as benzene, formaldehyde, and heavy metals, making it very environmentally friendly.

After years of use, many people want to remove the old flooring and replace it, but this is actually an unwise decision.

Because old flooring only has surface scratches, the wood itself is still good wood, especially after many years of use, it has become very stable. New wood flooring is actually inferior to old flooring in this respect.

Tiles get stained; there are tricks to cleaning and maintaining them.

Many people are troubled by the difficulty in removing stains from tiles, much like accidentally getting an oil stain on brightly colored clothes – it's hard to let go of. Today, I'll introduce some methods for dealing with stains on bathroom tile walls and teach you how to clean and maintain your tiles.

Two things to note when cleaning and maintaining tiles

Part 1: Preventing Soap Stain in the Bathroom - Using a Brush and Toilet Cleaner

Soap residue is most likely to remain in areas of the bathroom where soap is frequently used. This can leave soap scum on the bathroom tiles, which is difficult to remove if not cleaned regularly, affecting the appearance of the tiles.

For soap scum on tiles, you can first rinse with warm water to partially dissolve the soap scum, then gently scrub with a toilet brush. Wetting the wall with warm water first also dilutes the toilet cleaner, preventing damage to the tile surface. Alternatively, drip the cleaner onto the tile surface, apply it evenly with a brush, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe it clean. Rinse thoroughly with water. Repeating this once or twice will completely remove soap scum and dirt from the tile surface. Be sure to protect your hands. These are easy and simple methods for removing stains from bathroom tiles.

Although cleaning tiles is simple, daily maintenance is still important. Soap stains can be easily removed with regular cleaning to prevent them from becoming stubborn stains on the tiles. Additionally, applying a stain-resistant agent to the corner tiles in the bathroom can further prevent soap scum.

Part 2: Be careful not to scratch the tiles, and take precautions to prevent damage.

When stains are left on tiles, the first thing most people do is try their best to scrub them off with a brush. However, if you do this, it will leave the tiles with "scars" that are difficult to repair!

So what are some things to keep in mind when cleaning and maintaining tiles? First, small cracks can be repaired with white glue. If there are small cracks on the edges or in the middle of the tile, the loose part can be glued back on with white glue.

In addition, the most important thing when maintaining and cleaning tiles is not to damage the glaze. When cleaning, soak the tiles in water and then gently scrub them with a soft brush. Do not use sharp objects such as steel wool for destructive cleaning. After cleaning, be sure to dry them immediately to avoid leaving water stains. This will help maintain the tiles' longevity and keep them looking new.

For more expensive tiles, it is recommended to perform regular maintenance every 2-3 months, paying attention to daily cleaning and frequently wiping and maintaining them with ordinary household detergents and soapy water.
