Learn this trick, remove mites and bacteria in 1 minute, and there will be no more dirt in your home

The hot and humid summer makes us feel like we have no desire to live, but for mites and bacteria, it is the best living environment. They reproduce and thrive in every corner of the house, living happily.

The bedding and sofas we often come into close contact with contain not only hair and dandruff fibers but also dust mites. Dust mites are a major allergen . Whether it's their carcasses, secretions, or excretions, they can cause enlarged pores and rough skin at the mildest, or allergic reactions and skin infections at the worst.
Bacteria can penetrate any hole. We may have finally done a thorough cleaning, but in fact, it has not really cleaned the house. The real dirt in the house is in the places we can't see.

Removing mites and bacteria is an important step to keep your home clean and protect your health . In addition to high-temperature cleaning, exposure to the sun, and some professional equipment, we can also use some materials at hand to eliminate most mites and bacteria.
bedroom
▎Cooling mat
Some cheaper mats are made primarily of materials like reeds and grass leaves. These materials have gaps that are difficult to clean, often creating spaces for bacteria to grow. Therefore, when choosing a mat, it's best to opt for materials like bamboo and rattan that are less prone to allergies and relatively easy to clean. Also, keep the mat clean by scrubbing and airing it regularly.

Scrub with toilet water: The main ingredient of toilet water is alcohol, which is weakly alkaline and can inactivate mites and bacteria. Take half a basin of cold water, add 5-6 drops of toilet water, scrub the mat, and then hang it in the sun to dry.
Ironing: Wrap the iron with a wet towel and iron it on a mat, stopping at each place. Because the towel will absorb the corpses of mites, wash the towel several times during the ironing process.

Mattresses and carpets
Mattresses and carpets are not convenient to clean frequently, but dust, bacteria and mites should not be underestimated.
Baking soda pat: Vacuum the carpet, then evenly sprinkle weak alkaline baking soda on it. After a few hours, pat it clean. This method also works on mattresses.

Wipe with vinegar and water: Add 4 cups of vinegar to 4 liters of warm water , soak a towel in it, wring it out and wipe; vinegar can not only prevent the carpet from changing color or fading, but also eliminate pet odors. After wiping, place it in a ventilated place to air dry.

Curtains
Many curtains are not cleaned regularly, which can lead to a lot of dust accumulation. When you pull curtains, they can be easily inhaled by the human body, which can affect your health . If you have a vacuum cleaner, you can clean it regularly.

Soak in salt: If the curtains turn yellow, soak them in half a cup of salt before washing. Then add detergent and wash them after one day, and the curtains will be restored to their whiteness.

Sofa
The fabric sofas at home easily absorb dust and particles, are difficult to clean, and are harmful to your health. You can pat them with a dry towel more often.

Alcohol wiping: Sprinkle alcohol evenly on the sofa, scrub the sofa with a white sponge, wait for the sofa to dry, and then gently brush it flat with a brush.
▎Pillows, cushions, plush toys
These items are also difficult to clean, and they are relatively close to the human body, absorbing a lot of human keratin and dandruff, and there are tens of thousands of mites on them.

Freezer: Wrap pillows, bolsters, plush toys, etc. in plastic wrap and place them in the freezer for 6-24 hours. The mite mortality rate can reach up to 70% . Then take them out and dry them in the sun. The mites on them will be basically eliminated.
Expose in a black plastic bag: For heavier household items like pillows, exposure to the sun will only kill a small portion of the mites. However, if you cover the pillow with a black garbage bag, the heat from the plastic bag will be absorbed, warming the pillow. Expose the pillow in the sun for two hours and you should be able to kill almost all of the mites.

▎Board
Cutting boards can get dirtier than toilets over time because food residue can easily get lodged in the tiny cracks. In a humid environment, these bacteria can multiply rapidly, and the food that passes through the cutting board can carry the bacteria into our stomachs. Therefore, it's important to clean and maintain your cutting board regularly.

Scrubbing with baking soda: Sprinkle baking soda evenly on the chopping board, then spray a small amount of water, scrub it clean with a brush, wipe it with a dry cloth and place it in a ventilated place to dry, which can extend the service life of the chopping board.

Salt + lemon: Sprinkle a small amount of salt on the panel , slice the lemon and dip it in salt and wipe it continuously. Wait until the lemon juice completely covers the cutting board, let it stand for 3 minutes and then rinse with water.
Prevent cracking with vegetable oil: For newly purchased wooden or bamboo cutting boards, apply vegetable oil to both sides with a dry towel. Wait for the oil to seep in and dry, then repeat several times. Vegetable oil has a strong penetrating ability and moisturizes the wood, preventing the board from cracking over time.

▎Rag
Kitchen rags keep our kitchen clean, but it goes without saying that they contain bacteria and are prone to cross-infection.

Cooking with raw eggshells: Place a rag in a pot of water, add raw eggshells, boil for 6 minutes, take out, wash and dry.
bathroom
▎Towel
If you use towels at home for a long time, especially if they are often wet and hung in the bathroom to dry, the number of mites and bacteria will be so high that you can't imagine.

Soak in salt or white vinegar: Wash the towel and put it in boiling water, then sprinkle 5 grams of salt (or 10 ml of white vinegar), soak it for 5 minutes, take it out, scrub it with clean water, and dry it in the sun. This will basically remove all mites.
Imagine sleeping with 100,000 mites and feeling millions of bacteria running rampant in your digestive tract. A thorough cleanse should be added to your weekend schedule .
