Learn a simple magic trick – Lazy person's magic trick

As a magic trick that requires almost no manual operation from the magician, this trick called "Lazy Man" is absolutely amazing.

Mo Xiaohuan is indeed getting lazier and lazier. Now he doesn't even like to do the magic himself when performing magic tricks. He always sets up the traps early and waits for the people who help him perform to fall into them.

So, after cutting the cards a few times in front of his classmates and then placing them in two piles on the table, Mo Xiaohuan completely became a "hands-off manager." He called Wang Fei over: "Wang Fei, look at the top card of the left pile, remember it, put it on the right pile, and then put the left pile on top."

"Alright, cut the deck now. Every time you cut it, I'll tell you which card you just looked at is in the whole deck. Believe it or not," Mo Xiaohuan said lazily after Wang Fei slowly finished cutting the deck.

"The 8th one." "The 27th one."

..........

"Hey, Wang Fei, stop focusing on cutting the cards. Don't you want to know if what I said is right or wrong?" Mo Xiaohuan suddenly interrupted Wang Fei, and her words caused a burst of laughter from the audience.

“If you want, just flip the cards over and cut them,” Mo Xiaohuan said. “Keep cutting, I’ll tell you when I’m happy.”

"Hey, stop! Don't cut it." Mo Xiaohuan really had a bit of an imperious air about her. "The fifth card from the top is yours."

"From top to bottom! You're going from bottom to top! Turn the cards over! Right! See what the fifth card is!" Mo Xiaohuan was so anxious she was jumping up and down.

"Wow! It really is! How did you do that?" Wang Fei looked at Mo Xiaohuan with admiration.

Magic Unveiled

Props: A standard deck of playing cards

Prepare

Find the cards of the same suit, from A to K, and arrange them in order, with the bottom card being A and the top card being K. Place them at the bottom of the deck (using hearts as an example).

Process revealed

1. Before the performance, you can briefly cut the cards a few times, but do not damage the 13 cards reserved at the bottom of the deck. After cutting the cards, the rest of the work can be done by the audience. The performer only needs to give instructions.

2. The performer faces the audience and asks the audience member to cut the deck in half to the performer's right. The performer asks the audience member to remember the top card of the left half (using the King of Spades as an example). This card was originally one of the cards in the middle. The performer then asks the audience member to place this card on top of the right-hand pile. Next, the performer takes the cards from the left half and places them face down on top of the right-hand pile, thus burying this card in the middle of the deck.

3. You can ask the audience member to cut the cards a few times. Each time they cut the cards, the performer deliberately guesses a number.

Tell him your card is currently on the 10th or 35th card; you can say any number, and the audience will definitely be skeptical.

4. Ask the audience member to turn the entire deck over, number face up, and cut the deck several times. Stop cutting when they cut any heart card. Let's say the audience member cuts the 5 of hearts. Ask them to turn the deck over, number face down. At this point, their card should be the 5th card from the top, but don't immediately say it's the 5th card. The performer can tell them their card is the 30th card, pretending to ask them to cut the deck again. Just as they touch the card, immediately stop them. Tell them that because of their touch, their card has moved to the top and is now the 15th card. The performer can fool the audience member once or twice, finally telling them their card is now the 5th card from the top. By this time, the audience member is already confused. The performer then asks the audience member to turn the deck over, count to the 5th card, and check. It's definitely the King of spades they chose.

Important Notes

When you count to the fifth card, make sure the first four cards are face down. Do not turn the cards over, otherwise the audience will see a series of numbers and may guess the secret of the magic trick.
