If your flowers get pests or diseases, don't panic! There's one method to wipe them all out.

Fungus gnats, spider mites, and powdery mildew: three common pests and diseases affecting flowers, and there are tricks to controlling them!

After June, the weather gets hotter and hotter, and with the rising temperature comes the peak season for flower diseases and pests. The most common ones are fungus gnats, aphids, spider mites, powdery mildew, leaf spot, black spot, and so on! So what should you do if these diseases and pests appear? Actually, don't panic. As long as you use the right methods, these pests will be eradicated!

1. How to treat fungus gnats?

Among these pests and diseases, fungus gnats are actually the easiest to control. If there are not many fungus gnats, you can find some river sand to cover the soil surface, and the fungus gnats will disappear quickly!

If the fungus gnats have become so rampant that they are unbearable, then river sand will not work. Instead, you can use a little bit of white medicine. Scoop out a spoonful of white medicine, soak it in water for half an hour, and then pour it into the potting soil. Basically, after using it once, the fungus gnats will be gone!

If you have many plants at home, you can sprinkle some white pesticide on the soil surface to prevent fungus gnats, aphids, and other pests!

II. How to treat spider mites?

Spider mites are a common pest. If your plants are infested with spider mites, the first thing to do is to wash the leaves with water, as spider mites are afraid of water. Then, to get rid of them completely, spray the leaves with an insecticide that kills mites, such as abamectin or acetamiprid, to kill the eggs as well!

III. How to treat powdery mildew, leaf spot, and black spot?

Why are these three pests discussed together? Let me tell you: whether it's powdery mildew, leaf spot, or black spot, we don't need to use a different medicine for each disease. We can use just one medicine for all three: tetrafluoropyrazole. How do we use it? Find a small watering can, use a 1 ml:1000 ml water ratio, and spray the leaves. It will heal very quickly!
