How to place the bed appropriately
Text/Master Longyin
Nowadays, most young people like to place their beds in the middle of the room, with only the head of the bed against the wall, and access to the bed from three sides. This way of placing the bed is commonly used by Westerners, but from the perspective of traditional Feng Shui, it has basically no benefits except for the convenience of getting in and out of bed. Because two adults sleeping in one bed will appear nervous and unable to relax, and they are always afraid of falling off the bed, which will greatly reduce the quality of sleep and prevent them from getting a thorough and relaxing rest. And if a baby is placed on the bed, it is even more inevitable that he will fall off the bed.
Relatively speaking, the old big bed is much more scientific. This kind of bed is generally called a canopy bed. It has 40 cm high fences on three sides and 40 cm wide fences on both sides of the bed, leaving only a 1.2 meter doorway for getting on and off the bed. Such a bed has several advantages: First, with fences all around, sleeping on it is very relaxing, and there is absolutely no worry of falling off the bed. Second, the fences on the left and right sides of the bed are also cleverly designed, so that people who sleep close to the bed have support for their heads and feet, and their waists will not feel empty, so they can sleep very relaxed! Third, the canopy bed reduces the sleeping space. If you add a tent, it will be like a small house, which is absolutely a place to store wind and gather energy! It is really wonderful! The most important thing is "reliable".
When it comes to how to place the bed, it is best not to place the bed in the middle. First of all, there is no support on three sides, and there is a lack of security. Secondly, the bedroom space is divided into pieces, which is inconvenient to use. If the room is not big, it is easy to hurt your hands and feet. Feng Shui emphasizes "hiding the wind and gathering the energy", and in terms of Luantou Feng Shui, the diagonal position of the door in a room is the wealth position, because that corner is a place where wind and energy are hidden and gathered, and it is not affected by doors and windows. If people sleep there, they can be healthy. With a healthy body, a flexible mind, and a vigorous spirit, of course, you will have the energy to make money! So the ultimate meaning of the wealth position is actually to ensure the health of the human body. Therefore, Master Longyin believes that the following ways of placing beds are more appropriate:
It is best to place the bed against two walls, that is, to place the bed in a place where wind can be stored and energy can be gathered.
Place the bed in a corner of the room that is not affected by doors and windows, with two sides against the wall. If this is not possible, add a screen and baffle, or a wardrobe, in a position facing the doors and windows. The purpose is to block the impact of doors and windows, so that the bed can hide wind and gather energy.
Be careful not to place the head of the bed towards the corridor, elevator, stairwell, toilet drain pipe and flush toilet. These are places that represent yang movement. Corridors, drain pipes, elevators, stairs and flush toilets are places where airflow is very unstable. Even though there is a wall between them, it will still affect people's brain waves and prevent them from falling asleep peacefully.
The head of the bed should never be placed under a window, because the window is where the airflow and light are strongest, and the movement is large, and the energy of the person is easily lost, which is very bad for the health of the body. If the head of the bed cannot be changed, it is best to use thick curtains and blackout cloth to block it. But this is a second-best method, and the best method is to change the position of the head of the bed.
