10. Balcony vegetable planting and management
1. Leafy vegetables
⑴ The vegetables that can be broadcast live include: rapeseed, coriander, leek, spinach, water spinach, garland chrysanthemum, fennel, etc.
⑵ The seedlings for transplanting include: lettuce, celery, Chinese cabbage, romaine lettuce, Chinese cabbage, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, etc.
⑶ The plants that are propagated by cuttings include: Gynura strychnifolia, Andrographis paniculata, Ailanthus altissima, etc.

2. Solanaceae vegetables
⑴Tomato planting and management.
⑵Management of eggplant and pepper.

3. Melon, fruit and vegetables:
Cucumber, zucchini, pumpkin, gourd, etc.
⑴ Cucumber management (if only 1 to 2 trees are planted, artificial pollination is required. For example, zucchini, pumpkin, gourd, watermelon, melon, etc., are monoecious with different flowers).

Artificial pollination methods: Take zucchini as an example. There are both male and female flowers on the same plant. What do female flowers look like? They have a small melon beneath the calyx after blooming. Male flowers have no melon, just petals and a stamen. To pollinate, pull off the male flower and touch the stigma of the stamen to the stamen of the female flower. Alternatively, use a brush to rub the stamen of the male flower, then the stamen of the female flower. This can also pollinate the plant.

⑵Bean vegetables
Cowpea, green bean, sword bean, pea, etc. (larger seeds such as beans should be soaked in warm water).

Warm water soaking method: Place the seeds in 55-degree water and stir constantly to allow the seeds to roll. Avoid leaving the seeds in high-temperature water for a long time. When the water temperature drops to room temperature, the seeds can be soaked. 55-degree water can kill pathogens and spores on the surface of the seeds, helping to prevent disease. It also allows the seed endosperm to absorb water more easily.
The soaking time should be determined according to the size of the seeds and the temperature. After soaking, the seeds are full of water and can be sown at this time.
⑶ Root vegetables such as radish, white radish, green radish, carrot, and bulb fennel can be sown and propagated by cuttings. Potatoes and sweet potatoes are planted using tubers.
