Health Knowledge Sharing (Part 1)

How can we prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in spring? Mainly by doing the following four things:

1. Pay attention to keeping warm. As the old saying goes, "dress warmly in spring and lightly in autumn," which means we should pay attention to changes in the weather in spring and add or remove clothes in time. It's better to wear more clothes than to get cold. Pay special attention to keeping warm when going out in the morning and evening. Wear gloves, hats, and scarves as needed to prevent cold winds from entering the body.

2. Maintain a balanced diet. To prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, your diet should consist mainly of whole grains and vegetables, and should be low in oil, salt, fat, and sugar. Eat more soy products and fish, which can effectively supplement protein, lower blood cholesterol and blood viscosity, and prevent coronary artery thrombosis. Avoid overeating. A balanced diet is an essential step in preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

3. Pay attention to the balance between work and rest. As temperatures rise in spring, people are more inclined to exercise outdoors, which can effectively boost immunity. However, exercise must be moderate and appropriate. Avoid going out too early; exercising around 8 or 9 am or 4 pm is ideal. If you experience discomfort, weakness, or shortness of breath during exercise, stop immediately. Never push yourself, as this could lead to myocardial ischemia. Elderly patients should be especially careful to avoid triggering cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases due to overexertion.

4. Maintain a positive mood. Maintaining a stable and positive mood can reduce the risk of heart disease. We all know that negative emotions such as anger, anxiety, depression, and pessimism can cause fluctuations in blood pressure, disrupt the nervous system, and lead to abnormal lipid metabolism. Therefore, maintaining a stable and optimistic mood is also crucial. Health Knowledge Sharing:

[Feeling hot-tempered and unable to sleep?]

Poor sleep is very uncomfortable, affecting not only work but also physical health.

Tapping the Heart Sutra can clear heart fire and help with sleep.

The Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic states, "The heart is the sovereign organ, from which the spirit emerges." When the heart meridian is functioning properly, the body can maintain health. According to Haiou Traditional Chinese Medicine, the heart belongs to fire and is yang. In the human body, heart yang is the source, the yang within yang, and is relatively easy to get inflamed.

How should someone with excessive internal heat tap the Heart Sutra?

You can tap against the direction of the Heart Meridian, that is, starting from the tip of your little finger and tapping along the route of the Heart Meridian all the way to the Jiquan acupoint in your armpit.

Key acupoints to tap: Shaofu, Shenmen, Shaohai, and Jiquan.

For those with weak heart qi: tap lightly from the Jiquan acupoint towards the little finger.

The best time to tap is between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., which is the time when the Heart Sutra is most active.

Duration: Approximately 10 minutes

After tapping the Heart Sutra, it's best to lie down and take a nap, as this will help calm your mind.

In addition, there are two acupoints that need to be massaged in particular.

1: Laogu Cave

This acupoint can clear away heart fire caused by excessive heart fire disturbing the mind, or by phlegm-fire disturbing the mind.

2. Shenmen acupoint

Shenmen (HT7) is the original acupoint of the Heart Meridian. Stimulating this acupoint is equivalent to opening a channel for the heart qi, allowing the stagnant heart qi to flow smoothly, and has the effect of calming the mind and clearing heart fire.

Relax, put yourself in a relaxed state, and slowly drift off to sleep.
