first step
First, vacuum the top and bottom surfaces of the mattress.
Clean away dust, dead skin cells and other dirt on it.
Notice:
You should suck close to the surface of the mattress like this.
Pay more attention when encountering groove gaps.
A lot of dirty stuff is hidden inside.
Usually vacuuming once every time you change your sheets is enough.
Step 2
Sprinkle baking soda evenly on the surface of the mattress.
Let it sit for about half an hour to eliminate the odor on the mattress.
Then vacuum it clean.
If your mattress has a strong odor, you can add some essential oils to the baking soda.
Step 3
When there are stains on the mattress, press and clean it with a wet towel.
Avoid using circular motions to avoid spreading the stain further.
For better results , mix hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and water to make a cleaning solution.
After spraying, let it sit for a few minutes and wipe it gently with a toothbrush.
The stain will disappear quickly.
① When cleaning protein stains, be sure to use cold water.
Use pressure to absorb the stain.
Then blot the dirty area with a dry cloth.
②To deal with fresh blood stains, we have a magic weapon:
Ginger!
Ginger will loosen and disintegrate protein stains when rubbing against blood.
There is also a bleaching function.
After the ginger water drips on it,
Wipe with a cloth soaked in cold water.
Then blot dry with a dry cloth or paper towel.
③If you encounter old blood stains,
We need to switch to another vegetable:
carrot!
First add salt to the carrot juice.
Then drip the prepared juice on the old blood stains.
And wipe with a cloth dampened with cold water.
④Deal with non-protein stains,
You can mix hydrogen peroxide and detergent in a ratio of 2:1.
Put a small drop on the stain on the mattress.
Then spread it gently evenly.
Brush gently with a toothbrush.
Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
Then wipe clean with a cold, damp cloth.
Stubborn stains are removed!
Step 4
Flip the mattress frequently or turn it around; do not wash the mattress with large amounts of water;
Use a hair dryer to dry the mattress; patting it frequently will also help keep it clean.
The above is the complete cleaning process.
▼ More tips on mattress maintenance
1. An important concept in cleaning the mattress is "dip dry", so whenever possible, always wipe away excess liquid.
2. Do not sit on the edge of the bed often, because the four corners of the mattress are the most fragile. Sitting or lying on the edge of the bed for a long time can easily damage the edge springs.
3. Flip your mattress regularly. During the first year of use, flip your new mattress every two to three months to evenly distribute the spring force. After that, flip it about every six months. Check to see if your mattress has a top and bottom section. If so, do not flip it over.
4. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the mattress every month to prevent dust accumulation and dust mites.
5. Using the mattress with the head and feet swapped can also extend the life of the mattress and prevent you from always sleeping in the same position.
