Food that can only be found in America...
Now an American guy is taking on the challenge of delicious food: there are countless dishes that are "only found in America"!
(Author: David Rand )

I've noticed that many Chinese people have a very narrow understanding of American cuisine, believing that it consists of nothing but hot dogs, hamburgers, and steaks. I hope this answer can help fill that gap in their knowledge of Chinese food.
The restriction that "only available in the US" is very strict. I will try my best to meet this restriction, but I admit that I may not be 100% compliant. Anyway, with globalization, I believe that many of the dishes will soon appear in American-owned restaurants in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
A word of caution: America is a melting pot, with people from all over the world, resulting in a diverse range of cuisines. If you don't like American food, no problem. I'm sure you'll find something to suit your taste. Almost every small town in America has its own "four major international cuisines":
Italian,
Chinese,
Japanese,
Thai
This also occurs normally in larger cities:
Indian,
Korean,
Greek,
Middle Eastern,
Cuban, Portuguese,
Spanish
,
French,
Russian,
Persian, Iranian
, Vietnamese,
Ethiopian,
Peruvian,
Burmese,
Indonesian, and
Turkish cuisine.
Eating out in the US can be quite expensive, so cooking at home is much cheaper. If you want to cook your favorite home-style dishes, most US cities have "Asian Markets" where you can buy a wide variety of ingredients and seasonings imported from Asian countries like China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. Now that we've covered foreign cuisine in the US, let's move on to the main components of this answer.
Classic American food: Actually, the dishes commonly eaten across the US don't seem particularly unique. I won't even mention hamburgers, hot dogs, and steaks (my family almost never eats these).
Thanksgiving Turkey: American families gather to eat turkey on Thanksgiving Day.

As for desserts, there are many nationally recognized specialties.
Apple pie: also a symbol of America. Everyone's seen the movie *American Pie*, right?

Pumpkin pie. I prefer pumpkin pie. It's also a common Thanksgiving treat.

Blueberry muffin

Actually, the best American cuisine is mostly regional. There are six regions in the US known for their delicious regional dishes.

Pacific cuisine refers to the cuisine of several states along the Pacific coast: California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii. The food here is very diverse. Being coastal, seafood is plentiful. California has the most specialty agricultural products in the US, with fresh fruits and vegetables available year-round, so Pacific cuisine often includes salads. Pacific cuisine has also been influenced by Mexican and Asian countries.
Burrito: People usually think of burrito as a Mexican dish. Actually, it was invented in San Francisco! There are many choices for burrito fillings: chicken, pork, bacon, corn, rice, green peppers, tomatoes, chili peppers, onions, and avocado.

Seared Ahi Tuna: California-style grilled tuna is somewhat similar to sashimi in Japanese cuisine, except it's seared. The result is a cooked exterior and a raw interior. As long as the tuna is fresh, this dish is delicious.

California Roll: This belongs to the category of Japanese sushi, but the specific type of sushi roll was invented in Los Angeles, California. It contains cucumber, avocado, and crab meat, and is covered with caviar.

Barbecue Chicken Pizza: A typical American pizza found in New York and Chicago. Californians like to make their pizzas more unique. This one uses barbecue sauce instead of tomato sauce and is topped with grilled chicken, onions, and cilantro.

Smoked salmon: Salmon is a top specialty of Washington and Alaska. While there are many ways to prepare salmon, smoked is undoubtedly the best. This dish originates from a long-standing Native American tradition. Crispy, tender, and salty, it's simply delicious. It can also be prepared in various flavors: chili, black pepper, spicy, and more.

San Francisco sourdough bread: A specialty of my hometown, it tastes much better than plain white bread. Whole wheat sourdough bread is also available.

Avocado mandarin salad: California-style salads use field greens (referring to varieties of lettuce that are darker green, red, or even purple than regular lettuce and are considered more nutritious).

Beet salad: It tastes good with a little goat cheese.

Pear gorgonzola salad: Gorgonzola is a type of cheese. It's also delicious with some walnuts or pecans.

Southwest cuisine: The Southwest refers to several states along the Mexican border: Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. The cuisine here is influenced by Mexican food, but also has its own distinct American characteristics.
Chili (red bean soup): The main ingredient is red beans, with other seasonings depending on regional preferences. Many places in the United States hold annual Chili Cook-off competitions.

Barbecue spareribs: Texas barbecue is famous, offering pork, beef, chicken, and sausages. The best is definitely the spareribs.

Guacamole: Do you know what an avocado is? In Yunnan, we have avocados imported from Myanmar; I don't know if other places in China have them. Anyway, this fruit is very oily; the green flesh is tender and oily, with a high fat content (but it's the nutritious kind of fat). Avocados can be eaten directly or placed on sandwiches, but the best way to eat them is as a guacamole: avocado with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, chili peppers, salt, and lemon juice.

Cajun cuisine: Many Chinese people may not be familiar with this cuisine. First of all, the word "Cajun" doesn't seem to have a Chinese translation. It refers to the French immigrants to Louisiana in the 18th century. Their cuisine is unique in the United States, combining French, Native American, and African American food.
Gumbo Okra Soup: Okra soup contains okra, shrimp, and many other ingredients.

Jambalaya: A Cajun-style mixed dish consisting of rice, sausage, chicken, and various vegetables.

Andouille sausage: Cajun-style smoked pork sausage, delicious in okra soup or mixed vegetables.

Soul Food: Southern Black cuisine is known as "Soul Food" because many Black people who come to the city to work experience a sense of comfort and nostalgia when they eat the flavors of home. Black soul food is also very popular among white Americans.
Pulled pork sandwich: The pulled pork from Black people is delicious; it's slow-roasted for 24 hours, making it tender and flavorful.

Collard greens and bacon: a favorite among Black people.

Cornbread: A favorite food in America

Pecan pie: Contains egg yolks, brown sugar, and pecans.

New York cuisine: New York is a major Jewish community in the United States, and many of the local specialties are made by Jewish people.
Reuben sandwich with corned beef: Rye bread, corned beef, Swiss cheese, and sourkraut—absolutely delicious!

Bagels and cream cheese: Bagels come in many flavors: plain, garlic, sesame, poppy seed. Cream cheese also comes in many flavors: salmon, strawberry, scallion, blueberry, honey.

New England cuisine: Located near the Atlantic Ocean, New England cuisine is primarily seafood-based.
Fried clams

Crab cake: New Englanders like to make crab meat into cakes and then fry them.

Clam chowder: A typical New England dish containing cream, potatoes, clams, and onions.

Welcome to America to try our delicious food!
