What flowers do you have in your room?

Spring is here and flowers are blooming! Flying insects have become a common visitor to your home. What should you do? Here are some tips on how to deal with small flying insects. Maybe one of them will be very useful to you!

Causes of small flying insects in flower pots

1. When planting flowers and plants, the soil is not disinfected and sterilized. Generally, there are insect eggs in the soil. Before you plant flowers and plants, you should expose the soil to the sun and add insecticide.

2. Soil quality. Generally speaking, peat soil is more prone to insect pests than piled soil. This is because piled soil is decomposed soil and the probability of insect pests is low.

3. It is related to the types of flowers and plants planted and the maintenance environment.

Folk tips for getting rid of small flying insects

1. Mix 5 grams of cigarette butts with 70 or 80 grams of water, soak for 24 hours, rub it slightly, filter out the residue with gauze, and then water the flowers with water, and the small flies will be removed quickly. Generally speaking, about ten cigarette butts can be matched with a bottle of mineral water.

2. Use a 1:200 ratio of laundry detergent to water (soap water). To improve the effect, add a few drops of vegetable oil. Stir thoroughly and spray with a sprayer until no oil is visible on the surface.

3. You can also soak fresh orange peels in water and pour it into the flowerpot (use it on the same day). After a few days, the small flying insects will be gone.

4. Using water soaked in peppercorns to water flowers can also kill insects.

5. Use the chemical tendency of insects to kill them with sweet and sour liquid: The specific method is to add sweet and sour liquid to a small pot, spray a little insecticide into it, and place it next to the plants. After half an hour, you will find many dead insects. However, this method is not easy to "kill all" the small flying insects.

If all else fails, prune the plants that attract the insects, and be sure to discard or destroy the branches. Otherwise, it will be almost impossible to eliminate the source of insects.

We need to eliminate the possibility of this kind of insects appearing from the source. Generally, small flying insects appear when animal fertilizers such as milk and eggshells are applied, and when the potting soil is moist. Therefore, try not to use unrotted fertilizers.

Chemical methods to control small flying insects

Chemical agents include pesticides and insecticides. They are generally available on the market, but they are also harmful to humans, and insects may develop resistance to them. Unless the insects are rampant, it is not recommended to use them multiple times.

How to kill different bugs?

1. Washing powder: Dissolve one tablespoon of washing powder in 4 liters of water, and spray the flowers and leaves every two weeks to completely eliminate white flies and bacteria.

2. Milk: Mix 4 cups of flour and half a cup of milk into 20 liters of water, stir, filter with gauze and spray on the flowers and leaves, which can kill wall lice and their eggs.

3. Beer: Pour beer into a shallow basin under the soil of the flowerpot. The snails will be drowned when they crawl in.

4. Garlic: Crush a head of garlic and mix it with a tablespoon of pepper powder in half a liter of water. After an hour, spray it on the leaves and flowers to prevent rat attacks.

5. Soak tobacco in water: When ants appear in the flowerpot, soak the cigarette butts and tobacco in hot water for one or two days. When the water turns dark brown, sprinkle some of the water on the flower stems and leaves, dilute the rest and pour it into the flowerpot, and the ants can be eliminated.

Flower lovers who are often bothered by small flying insects at home may want to try it! The effect is absolutely amazing!
