Clever tricks for household stain removal and cleaning

Everyone wants to keep their home clean and tidy, but housework is not an easy task; cleaning alone is time-consuming and laborious. However, using some cleaning tips can make the process much easier.

If you try to remove stains after a while, and physical methods like scraping or scrubbing with detergent don't work, you'll feel like you're going crazy. It's like you can't get rid of all the grease and grime no matter how much you cook... But since I learned this trick, my house is clean every day.

1. Oily window screen

Ingredients: flour + water

Mix regular flour with water to make a thin paste, then apply it to the window screen, covering both sides and repeating several times. After about ten minutes, wash off the paste with clean water, and the window screen will be clean.

2. Cabinet grease

Materials: bleaching powder + water

To remove grease from cabinets, it's important to protect the materials. A simple method is to add some water to bleach to improve adhesion, then apply it to the grease stains. Leave it overnight, then wipe it clean with water. The grease will be gone.

3. Tile stains

Materials: Cleaning agent + kitchen paper towels + damp cloth

You can imagine how grime accumulates on the tiles around the stove. A great cleaning method is to spray detergent evenly onto the tiles, then place kitchen paper towels on top. After about ten minutes, remove the paper towels and wipe the tiles thoroughly with a damp cloth.

4. Grease stains on the range hood

Materials: Flour + Water + Kitchen Paper + Damp Cloth

Mix flour with warm water to form a paste, apply it to the greasy areas of the range hood, including the grease filter, and then cover it with kitchen paper. After six or seven minutes, peel off the kitchen paper and wipe away the grease with a damp cloth.

5. Gas stove grime

Materials: soapy water + steel wool + dishcloth

When cleaning the gas stove, be careful not to burn your hands; wait until it cools down before proceeding. First, place the metal rack in a basin, pour in soapy water, and completely submerge the rack. After 15 minutes, scrub it clean with a steel wool pad, then wipe it dry with a cloth.

6. Stains on the exhaust fan

The exhaust fan can be cleaned using the same method as a gas stove.

Precautions: It is best to wear gloves to disassemble the exhaust fan, or wash your hands first, apply some soap to the nail crevices, and dry your hands before disassembling to prevent oil and dirt from getting into the nail crevices.

7 Dishwashing Sink

Materials: Cleaning agent + damp cloth + vinegar

Wipe the sink with a damp cloth and detergent. If there are stubborn stains, wipe them with a diluted vinegar solution.

8 Stainless Steel Faucets

Ingredients: Potato peels + water

Don't throw away the potato peels! They're great for cleaning faucets. Scrub them a few times, and the limescale and grime will disappear. Just rinse with water.

9. Dirt on the bottom of the pot

Materials: baking soda + plastic wrap + scouring pad

First, wet the bottom of the pot with water, then apply baking soda. Wrap the pot tightly with plastic wrap and set it aside. The next day, scrub it thoroughly with a scouring pad, and the bottom of the pot will be clean.

10. Oil stains on the pot lid

Materials: Water + dish soap + dishcloth

First, pour some water into the pot, add some dish soap, turn the lid upside down, and then boil the water. Once the grease on the lid turns white, wipe it carefully with a cloth, and you're done.

11. Stains inside the cup

Materials: Toothpaste + Water

Squeeze toothpaste into the cup and scrub, then rinse with water.

12. Scale in electric kettles

Materials: Cola + aluminum foil + kitchen paper

Place the electric kettle in a basin, pour in cola, and scrub it several times with aluminum foil until all the limescale is removed. Then wipe it clean with kitchen paper.

13. Unpleasant odor from kitchen knives

Ingredients: ginger or vinegar

If a kitchen knife has a meaty or other unpleasant smell, rub both sides of the knife with ginger several times to eliminate the odor. Alternatively, rubbing it with vinegar also works very well.

14. Odor from the cutting board

Materials: vinegar + warm water + paper towels

If your cutting board has an odor, first lay it flat and cover it with paper towels. Mix two tablespoons of vinegar into 200 ml of warm water and pour it onto the paper towels on the cutting board. After about ten minutes, remove the paper towels and clean the surface; the odor will be gone.

15. Stains on the rag

Ingredients: Eggshells + Water

Add water to a pot, put in a stained rag and eggshells, boil them together for a few minutes, then rinse and let them dry.

16. Unpleasant odor in towels

Ingredients: Hot water + salt (or white vinegar)

If a clean towel still has an odor, soak it in hot water with salt or white vinegar for a while, then expose it to the sun to dry; the odor will disappear.

17. Scale buildup in the crevices of plastic baskets

Materials: Disinfectant + Water

Mix 1 ml of disinfectant with 200 ml of water, then put the plastic basket with slits into the mixture and soak it for two or three hours before rinsing it clean.

18. Stains on the dining table

Ingredients: Salt + Salad Oil

Sprinkle salt on the table surface, add a few drops of salad oil, and gently brush to remove stains.

19 Refrigerator

Materials: damp cloth + cotton swabs

The surface of the refrigerator can be cleaned with a damp cloth, and cotton swabs can be used to clean the hard-to-reach internal crevices.

20 Microwave oven grease stains

Materials: dish soap + water + paper towels

Place the bowl containing dish soap and water in the microwave and heat for three minutes. Then wipe off the grease with a paper towel.

21 Oven grease

Materials: dish soap + water + kitchen paper + dishcloth

Mix dish soap and water in a 1:10 ratio, spray the mixture into the oven, line it with kitchen paper, and spray the mixture again. Place a small bowl of boiling water inside the oven, close the door, and let it sit for ten minutes. Then wipe it clean.

22. Sewer Odor

Materials needed: grapefruit peel + water

Tear the grapefruit peel into pieces, put them in a pot, add water, and boil for about ten minutes. Then, pour the hot grapefruit peel water down the drain; the odor will disappear.
