Clean your home with simple methods

Clean your home with simple methods

Cleaning kitchen windows

Kitchen windows are always greasy, and cleaning them can be a challenge. Don't worry, all you need is some plastic wrap. 1. Spray the kitchen windows with cleaner and cover them with plastic wrap. 2. After fifteen minutes, remove the plastic wrap and wipe the windows with a dry cloth. Easily transform your greasy windows into sparkling, good-as-new windows! Give it a try!

Cleaning the gas stove

I swear, this personal experience is truly amazing. The yellow, greasy grime on a gas stove can't be completely cleaned without scrubbing vigorously with a scouring pad and detergent, right? Especially if your gas stove is years old, battling those stubborn grime with a scouring pad and detergent is a nightmare.
This time, I used only flour instead of detergent. It doesn't matter if it's low-gluten, medium-gluten, or high-gluten flour. Just use a scouring pad and rub it, and it'll easily remove the grease. If it's been a while, you'll still need to be a little more cautious! But it's absolutely harmless to your hands and the stove. After scrubbing, it feels like a brand new one.

Washing woolen clothes

This method is similar to dry cleaning, but it's simple: just use shampoo! Here's how:
First, dilute a small amount of shampoo in a basin. Next, place your sweater in the solution and let it completely submerge for about 10-15 minutes (depending on the amount of clothing, but generally no more than 20 minutes). Then, remove the sweater and gently hand-wash it. Finally, place it in a laundry net and spin dry it in the washing machine. Once finished, lay it flat to dry in the shade. Pretty simple, right? This method saves you from the hefty laundry bills you'd pay to take it to the laundromat during the changing seasons.

Cleaning yellow stains

After reading the article "What to Do About Yellow Stains on White Clothes?", I remembered that Abby's husband, a German man who is very environmentally conscious, taught his wife a trick for turning yellow stains on cotton clothing (such as baby clothes stained with feces) into bright white again, without using any bleach. The method is: Find a sunny day, spread all the clothes out on the lawn, then use a hose to wet them. Let them dry in the sun, remembering to water them periodically to keep them moist (important). After 40 minutes of continuous sun exposure, the clothes will be as white as new. This method uses sunlight and ozone generated by water to naturally bleach the clothes.

Cleaning the cutting board

Did you know? Never wash a cutting board used for fish in hot water! Many people believe that using hot water can remove the fishy smell, but that's wrong. Fish contains protein, and washing with hot water will cause the protein to coagulate, retaining the fishy smell. The correct way to wash a cutting board is to scrub it with salt, rinse it with cold water, and finally expose it to sunlight to thoroughly sterilize it.

Solving the problem of a blocked toilet

The common reaction is to quickly buy a bottle of highly corrosive hydrochloric acid or something like [Tonole] to solve the problem. However, there's a simpler, more economical, safer, and more effective solution: pour a basin of about one kilogram of crushed ice into the toilet. Press the water button. The force of the water and ice will flush any obstruction down the toilet without causing any pollution.

Apple peels make aluminum pots more shiny

Aluminum pots will turn black after being used for a long time. At this time, you can put fresh apple peels into the pot. Add appropriate amount of water, boil for 15 minutes, and then rinse with clean water. The "black pot" will become bright as new.

Expired milk is useful

When leather bags and shoes lose their shine, they can be cleaned with milk or yogurt to make them shine like new.

It can be used as a substitute for polish wax. Drop it on the floor and rub it with a soft cloth to remove dirt and make it shiny.

Dilute it with water and use it to water the flowers. It will make the flowers bloom more beautifully.

Washing underwear with floral water makes it more comfortable

Floral water not only adds fragrance, deodorizes, and refreshes the mind, but also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Using water mixed with floral water to wipe a cooling mat keeps it fresh and clean. It can also be used to wash underwear. To do this, add a few drops of floral water to water, soak the underwear, and then wash with soap for a fresh, comfortable fragrance.

Don't unplug the induction cooker immediately after use

When using an induction cooker, place it horizontally, away from walls or objects. Allow at least 10 cm of clearance on each side to ensure unobstructed air inlet and outlet. After use, wait until the fan has cooled completely before unplugging the induction cooker to extend its lifespan.

Honey and sugar can protect your hands

Frequent housework can make your fingers rough, but there's a hand soothing product in the kitchen. Place one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of sugar in the palms of your hands, mix well, and rub your hands vigorously for about 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water, and you'll have hands as delicate as a baby's. Do this regularly once a week.

 The magical effects of cigarettes

When storing peanuts, place one or two cigarettes in the container or plastic bag containing the peanuts and seal the bag tightly to prevent air leakage. This way, the peanuts will not be eaten by insects within three years.

When washing screen windows, add a few filter cigarette butts to the soapy water, the effect will be surprisingly good.

Mopping the floor with tofu juice

Using tofu juice to wipe the floor can keep it shiny for a long time. In addition, tofu juice can also be used to clean new lacquerware and eliminate odors.

Don't add chicken essence when stewing meat

Chicken essence can be used to enhance the flavor of the food when cooking, but not all dishes are suitable for adding chicken essence. When stewing beef, spareribs and other foods that have their own flavor, adding chicken essence will make the food lose its flavor and affect the taste of the dish. At this time, you can use ordinary MSG, beef essence, mushroom essence and other seasonings instead.

Don’t rush to wear new clothes when you get them home. Especially in the hot summer, remember—

Wash new clothes with salt water first

In everyday life, people often wear new clothes right after unpacking them, without thinking to soak them in salt water before washing. This
is because new clothes may retain formaldehyde, a carcinogenic chemical used in wrinkle-proofing treatments.
We sometimes notice an unpleasant odor on new clothes. This chemical is used to treat the wrinkle-prone nature of cotton fabrics. Under high pressure and high temperature, formaldehyde molecules cross-link with cotton fiber molecules, creating an anti-wrinkle effect. However, if the treatment process is not rigorous or the post-treatment cleaning is not thorough, formaldehyde monomers are often released from the fabric, or the fabric may even contain formaldehyde.
Research has shown that formaldehyde, in addition to causing acute eye symptoms such as coughing, tearing, visual impairment, and rashes, is also experimentally proven to be carcinogenic. Because salt disinfects, sterilizes, and prevents fading in cotton fabrics, new clothes should be thoroughly soaked in salt water before wearing.

Tips for repelling mosquitoes

△ Place a few open boxes of medicated oil or cooling oil in your room, or apply peppermint to the walls.
△ Sprinkle some perfume on your body or pillow.
△ Grind up mothballs and sprinkle them in the corners of your home.
△ Plant one or two tomato plants in pots indoors; the scent from the tomato branches and leaves will repel mosquitoes.
△ Hang a bunch of chives under a lamp, or put a few scallions in a gauze bag; all kinds of small insects will be deterred.
△ Cover light bulbs with orange-red cellophane or silk cloth; mosquitoes are most afraid of orange light.

How to Remove Clothes Stains (Part 1)

    ■ Removing ink stains: For fresh stains, first wash with warm detergent, then apply rice grains to the stained area and gently rub. Old stains can also be removed by first washing with warm detergent, then applying a paste made of alcohol, soap, and toothpaste to the area and rubbing repeatedly with your hands.
  ■ Removing urine stains: For fresh stains, wash with warm water; for old stains, use a mixture of 28% ammonia and alcohol (1:1).
  ■ Removing paint stains: Apply cooling oil to both sides of the garment where the stain has been applied. After a few minutes, rub a cotton ball along the fabric to remove the stain. When removing old paint stains, apply more cooling oil. Once the paint wrinkles, peel it off. Wash the garment once, and the stain will be completely removed.
  ■ Removing vegetable broth stains: Immediately soak fresh stains in cold water for about 5-10 minutes. Apply a little soap to the stain and gently rub it. For older stains, rub the stain with a small brush dipped in gasoline to remove grease. Then, gently rub the stain in a solution of 1 part ammonia to 5 parts water.
  ■ To remove lipstick stains, first gently scrub the stain with a small brush dipped in gasoline to remove the grease, then rinse with detergent. For more severe stains, soak and rub the stain in gasoline before washing with detergent.
  ■ To remove persimmon stains: Since old stains are difficult to remove, immediately rub the stain with a mixture of wine and concentrated salt water, then rinse with warm detergent.
  ■ To remove mildew stains: ① Place mung bean sprouts on the mildew stain and rub until the mildew disappears, then rinse with clean water. ② For mildew stains on silk, gently scrub with a soft brush for minor stains. For heavier stains, spray with a little diluted ammonia. For white silk, use 50% alcohol and then rinse with clean water. ③ On synthetic fabrics, use 50% alcohol, 5% ammonia, or turpentine to remove mildew stains. For tough-to-remove mildew stains, first wipe with a 2% soap and alcohol mixture, then wipe with medical hydrogen peroxide, and finally rinse with clean water. ■ Removing Vinegar and Soy Sauce Stains: For vinegar and soy sauce stains on general clothing, rub them with a small amount of lotus root juice, then rinse with clean water. ■ Removing Tea and Coffee Stains: For tea and coffee stains on white clothing, use bleach or alcohol. ■ Removing Ballpoint Pen Stains: After washing with soap, scrub with 95% alcohol.

How to Remove Clothes Stains (Part 2)

  ■ To remove sweat stains from white clothes, rub with a small amount of winter melon juice.
  ■ To remove oil stains, rub a piece of radish on the grease stain, then rinse with hot water.
  ■ To remove juice stains from cotton and wool fabrics, rub with a small amount of dilute ammonia solution, then rinse with clean water.
  ■ To remove mud stains, rub with a small amount of potato juice before rinsing.
  ■ To remove smoke stains, rub with a small amount of watermelon juice for significant results.
  ■ To remove blood stains, first rub the stain with hydrogen peroxide, then rinse with alcohol or water.
  ■ To remove shoe polish stains, rub the stain with a small amount of gasoline, then rinse with clean water.
  ■ To remove iodine stains, smear the stain with flour, wait for a while, then rinse with clean water. You can also rub with a baking soda solution or an ammonium chloride solution. Alternatively, soaking the clothing in boiling water can remove the stain.
  ■ To remove rust stains, apply a paste made of lemon juice and salt to the stain, rub it, and then rinse twice with water. The rust will be removed.
  ■ Remove kerosene stains: To remove kerosene stains from clothing, rub the stain with orange peel and rinse with clean water.
  ■ Remove blue ink stains: First, wash with detergent, then use a 10% alcohol solution. You can also rub with a small amount of concentrated milk before washing.
  ■ Remove red ink stains: First, soak the stain in cold water, then rub repeatedly with soap, then use potassium permanganate solution to remove any remaining stains.

How to sharpen an electric shaver

If the electric shaver is not as fast after being used for a period of time, you can find a small grinding wheel like the one used to saw a royal jelly bottle, and grind the inner surface of the electric shaver mesh cover (the contact surface with the blade) in the direction of motor rotation for a few minutes, then apply a thin layer of lubricating oil on the mesh cover. After installation, shaving will be much faster.

Vinegar can remove sweat odor

In the summer, people sweat a lot, and the sweat smell on clothes is difficult to remove even after washing. If you add a few drops of vinegar (vinegar essence is better) to clean water when washing, and then rinse twice, you can remove the sweat smell.

Clever use of air conditioning condensate

A 1-horsepower air conditioner, operating at room temperature for cooling or dehumidification, can produce 1 liter of condensate every two hours. For example, place a Coke bottle under the air conditioner's drain pipe, fill it up, and then pour it into a container. This accumulated condensate can be used for flushing toilets, washing mops, and even for watering fish and plants. The pH of air conditioner condensate is neutral, making it ideal for growing flowers and fish, and it's also low-alkaline for bonsai.

A method to treat oral ulcers

Elderly people are prone to oral ulcers, which often affect their eating and speaking, and are particularly painful when consuming irritating foods.
Topical application of gentamicin sulfate solution is highly effective in treating oral ulcers. To do this, rinse your mouth with warm water. Then, open an 80,000-unit bottle of gentamicin sulfate solution and apply the solution directly to the ulcer with a sterile cotton ball. Close your mouth for 10-15 minutes. Repeat this application once daily, morning and evening. Three applications are generally effective, and continued use for 3-5 days will result in complete recovery.

Soaking dried shiitake mushrooms

Before cooking, rinse the mushrooms thoroughly with cold water. For shiitake mushrooms with stems, remove the roots. Place the mushrooms, gills facing downward, in a basin of warm water. Once they soften and the gills open, gently stir them in one direction to allow any sediment to settle to the bottom. The soaking water can be reused after removing the sediment. Adding a little sugar to the warm soaking water will enhance the flavor of the cooked mushrooms.

Home hygiene tips

Household cleaning is tiring and time-consuming, but with effective methods, the task becomes much easier.
  1. Ditch the mop: Mopping with a mop is heavy, can easily cause back pain, and takes a long time to dry. Use old towels as rags for a cleaner, dries quickly, and saves time. Use old synthetic fibers for even better results.
  2. Use toilet cleaner as a drain cleaner: Periodically suffocate the toilet with toilet cleaner, then flush with water to keep it clear.
  3. Cleverly use 84 disinfectant: If cotton fabrics get stained by other clothes during laundry, don't worry. Soak the stained clothes in diluted 84 disinfectant to utilize its bleaching properties and restore them to their original appearance.

How to Identify Adulterated Honey

Among the various honeys sold in the market, especially the bulk honey sold door-to-door by vendors, some are adulterated. Adulteration mainly involves the addition of sugar, water, and starch. Some honey also contains impurities, making it impure. Adulteration can be easily detected with certain identification techniques.
  1. Drop honey onto a piece of white paper. If the honey gradually seeps out, it has been adulterated with sucrose and water. Honey adulterated with sugar is less transparent, less clear, and more turbid, with a less floral aroma. Honey adulterated with brown sugar appears darker in color; honey adulterated with white sugar is lighter in color.
  2. Honey adulterated with flour, starch, or cornstarch appears cloudy and less sweet. Place a small amount of honey in a cup, add an appropriate amount of water, and bring to a boil. After cooling, add a few drops of rice wine and shake well. If the solution turns blue, red, or purple, the honey is adulterated with starch.
  3. Insert a red-hot wire into the honey. If sticky material sticks to the wire, it indicates impurities. If the wire remains smooth, it is free of impurities.
  4. Take one part honey, add two parts cold boiled water and one part 95% alcohol, mix well and let it sit for a day and a night. If no impurities settle, it means the quality is pure. 5. Honey that can be pulled into long threads with chopsticks and automatically shrinks into a ball when broken is of high quality.

Daily "waste" has many uses
Some jelly bags have zippers and are spacious enough to use as makeup bags when traveling. Many wine bottles these days have unique shapes, making them perfect as vases. Buy some dried wheat ears and place them inside for a beautiful home decoration. Don't throw away your folding umbrella cover; it's the perfect size for storing rolled socks. If you need some ventilation, just cut a few holes.

Using Big Snow Pear to Treat Diseases
Chop a large snow pear with skin into pieces, add appropriate amount of water and rock sugar, stew, let it cool and then drink it. It can cure cough, hoarseness, and dry and sore throat; remove the core of a large snow pear, put in 3 grams of Sichuan Fritillary Powder, steam it in water, eat the pear and drink the soup, which is effective for various coughs and asthma; remove the core of a large snow pear and slice it, slice 300 grams of fresh lotus root, chop a piece of fresh lotus root leaf, wash and cut 30 grams of fresh white reed root, decoct in water and drink it. It has excellent effect on coughing up blood and blood in sputum; take two large snow pears, 12 grams of lotus root nodes, and 60 grams of lean pork, add water and cook. Take one dose a day for several days. It is very effective in treating nosebleeds; remove the core of a large snow pear, put in an appropriate amount of rock sugar, put it in a bowl and steam it thoroughly. After cooling, eat the pear and drink the soup. Take one a day after the coldest days of winter to cure shortness of breath and cough in the elderly.

Washing machine refuses to overload

The rated load in a washing machine's manual refers to the maximum weight of dry clothes that can be washed at one time while ensuring proper operation and effective washing.
Loading more clothes at once, exceeding the rated load, will increase the load on the motor and rapidly increase its temperature, shortening its lifespan. Overloading the motor can also slow the speed, straining the drive belt and even causing it to slip. Furthermore, excessive clothing can cause it to become tangled and tangled, preventing it from turning in the tub (normally, clothes turn 15 times per minute). Some clothes may even not turn at all, simply floating on the surface. This reduces friction between the clothes, between the clothes and the detergent, or between the tub walls, resulting in uneven force distribution and ineffective kneading, rubbing, rinsing, and even rinsing.
While loading more clothes at once may seem to save time, detergent, and water, in reality, dirt remains unwashed, or the clothes come out unevenly clean, becoming frizzy and tarnished. In severe cases, rewashing may be necessary, wasting time and resources and increasing wear and tear on the clothes.

Tips for using a microwave oven

Turn food over for even defrosting. Microwave defrosting is very convenient and quick, but there's a trick to it. First, turn a small plate upside down on a large, deep plate. Then place the food on the small plate and microwave it to defrost. During the thawing process, the dissolved moisture will prevent the food from cooking. Also, take the food out every five minutes and turn and stir it once or twice to ensure even thawing.
Small pieces of meat, such as chicken wings and thin cuts of meat, must be placed flat on the plate for even and quick thawing.
When cooking skinned foods, for example, fish should be scored two or three times to prevent it from bursting due to evaporating water during steaming. Tomatoes, potatoes, apples, and sausages should be pierced with small holes to allow the water vapor to escape. As for foods with shells, such as eggs, never cook them whole in the shell to prevent them from bursting.
Wrap food in microwave-safe plastic wrap to retain moisture. The most common problem encountered during cooking is that food easily becomes hard and dry. If you want the food to retain moisture, you need to wrap it in microwave-safe plastic wrap or cover it with a lid.

How to Use Daily Necessities for Car Maintenance

Cars are essential to life, and they serve our lives. Some of our everyday items can be used in cars, especially during maintenance. Here are a few examples you might want to give them a try.
  1. Toothpaste. Toothpaste contains abrasives, making it an excellent abrasive for grinding parts like the three precision mating parts between valves and valve seats in diesel vehicles. For example, using toothpaste to clean minor scratches on car dashboard mirrors is highly effective.
  2. Kitchen detergent. This non-toxic, non-corrosive alternative to gasoline and kerosene is ideal for cleaning car parts, especially small rubber parts, without losing shape or swelling. It's also perfect for washing work clothes; gently swishing cleans them.
  3. Loose oil. This is a medical ointment used to treat injuries and bruises. It's used to remove asphalt stains from cars, conveniently and effectively, leaving no residue.
  4. Laundry detergent. A combination of laundry soap and sawdust can easily clean dirty undercarriage grease and your hands after repairs.
  5. Cans. Aluminum cans like Jianlibao can be used as gaskets in cars or simply modified into funnels for adding oil or water, making them a great, inexpensive material.
  6. Drinking space water and purified water. Currently, commercially available space water and purified water beverages have been tested and found to be suitable for battery use, so they can be used to replenish batteries to prevent sulfation caused by low fluid levels.

The best temperature for brewing tea

The amino acids in tea are beneficial to the human body and dissolve readily in water at 60°C. Vitamin C is destroyed at 70°C. Tea tannins and caffeine gradually dissolve at 70°C. If the water temperature is too high, the tea will taste bitter. Therefore, to preserve the nutrients, flavor, and aroma of tea, the ideal water temperature for brewing tea is between 70°C and 80°C. It's generally best to first pour boiling water into a thermos before brewing.

There are some tips for washing clothes
  Correct use of washing machine
. Five fears: fear of washing more than the specified amount at one time; fear of using too much or too little water; fear of the water temperature being too high; fear of idling with the power on; fear of clothes stained with gasoline being dehydrated in the washing machine.
Five musts: Soak the dirty clothes first, so that a lot of dust and dirt can be washed away, saving detergent, electricity and water when washing; use low-foaming detergent for easy rinsing; separate light-colored and dark-colored clothes, and wash them in order from light to dark, so as to avoid multicolored clothes from staining light-colored clothes; choose different washing programs or washing times according to the degree of dirtiness, wash them separately, and save electricity; after each wash, drain the water, wipe dry with a dry cloth, and leave the cover open for a while to prevent water from stagnating in the machine and causing rust on metal parts.
Different textures require different washing methods .
Cotton fabrics: Machine wash, following the instructions in your washing machine's manual. For hand washing, soak dirty clothing in warm water for half an hour and apply soap; alternatively, soak in a detergent solution. Gently scrub thin fabrics by hand, and brush thicker fabrics with a soft brush. Let sit for half an hour before rinsing.
Wool fabrics: Dry clean valuable wool fabrics if possible; soaking can cause the fabric to lose shape and discolor.
Regular wool fabrics can be washed with a silk and wool detergent. Before washing, soak in cold water for 30 minutes; never use hot water to prevent shrinkage or loss of elasticity. Place a wool sweater in silk and wool detergent. After 10 minutes, squeeze it by hand to release any dirty water. Pinch and squeeze the collar and cuffs, particularly those prone to staining. Rinse with clean water, then squeeze by hand without wringing, and then flatten and air dry. Roll the hem and cuffs slightly inward when washing to prevent the sweater from unraveling.
Chemical fiber fabrics: Wash nylon and polyester in water temperatures no higher than 50°C; acrylic no higher than 40°C; use cold water for vinylon, chloroprene, and polypropylene fabrics. After washing, do not wring the clothes by hand; hang them to drip dry.
Down jackets: First, wet the garment to remove any loose dust. Then, soak it in soapy water for a while, then gently scrub it with a soft brush. After scrubbing, lift it up and down several times, wrap it in a dry towel, and gently squeeze out the moisture. Avoid rubbing it vigorously to prevent the down from bunching. Down jackets should also avoid alkaline substances and should not be agitated in a washing machine.
Leather goods: Use a detergent mixture of denatured alcohol and ammonia, then use a brush to wash.

Complete laundry tips

1. Wash newly bought pure cotton vests and sweatshirts in boiling water before wearing to prevent wear and fading.

  2. Jeans are prone to fading when washed. Soak them in cold, concentrated salt water for about two hours before washing with soap to prevent fading.

  3. For clothes that are prone to fading, soak them in salt water for about 30 minutes, then rinse with clean water and wash as usual. This will prevent fading, especially for black or red clothes.

  4. Sweaters are prone to fading when washed. Soak them in cold tea for 10 minutes before washing as usual. This method will not only clean them clean but also prevent fading, extending their wear life.

  5. Improper washing can cause fading of colored fabrics, which can affect their appearance. Most dyes dissolve easily in water; dyes also fade easily when exposed to sunlight when damp. Dyes that are not firmly bonded to the fabric texture will also fade during washing. Therefore, to prevent fabrics from fading, in addition to avoiding prolonged soaking in hot, soapy, or alkaline water, and avoiding scrubbing with a washboard or brush, adding some salt to the water before rinsing is also a good way to prevent fading.

Summer tips for preventing clothing from fading include

: 1. Drying clothes inside out. When drying clothes, turn them inside out, with the inside facing the sun and the outside facing the shade.

  2. Adding additives. When washing synthetic fiber clothing, add some salt to the water; for high-quality fabrics, add a small amount of alum to the water. These can prevent or minimize fading.

  3. Acid washing. When washing colored fabrics, adding 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar to the detergent can also prevent fading.

  Laundry Tips:

  1. Washing White Clothes and Socks:

Stubborn stains on white clothing are difficult to remove. Boil water with a lemon slice, then soak the white clothing in the water for about 15 minutes before rinsing.

  2. Cleaning Odor-Relieving Clothes:

Sometimes clothes can develop an unpleasant sweaty smell due to improper drying. Mix white vinegar and water and soak the odor-inducing clothes for about five minutes. Then

, hang them in a well-ventilated area to dry. 3. Dealing with Pen Marks on Clothes

: This is something almost everyone encounters:

First, pour rubbing alcohol over the marks made by the fountain pen on the clothes, evenly covering each mark. Use medical-grade alcohol with a concentration of at least 75%. Place the clothes with the alcohol facing up, avoiding contact with other surfaces. This will prevent the pen or ballpoint pen from staining other parts of the clothes. Use a regular washbasin, halfway filled with water. Next, pour two capfuls of bleach into the clean water. Make sure to fill it to the brim. Stir the mixture thoroughly, then add a small amount of laundry detergent (you can adjust the amount yourself). Stir briefly again to ensure the detergent dissolves thoroughly. Now, soak the clothes completely in the water for 20 minutes. When the time comes, wash the clothes,

and the marks will be gone! If the ballpoint pen marks are heavy, if any remain after using the above method, gently rub them with toothpaste and soap, then rinse with clean water. (But never use boiling water!!!)

There's another way to deal with ballpoint pen marks on clothing: don't rush to put the clothes in the water. Instead, rinse the affected area with gasoline before washing.

  4. Cleaning Soy Sauce Stains from Clothes

: Method 1: Use sugar. First, wet the stained area with water, then sprinkle a spoonful of sugar on it and rub it with your hands. You'll see that some of the soy sauce stain has transferred to the sugar. Rinse with water to remove the stain.

Method 2: Use baking soda. Soak a white vest in water, then apply baking soda to the soy sauce stain. Leave it for 10 minutes, then rinse with clean water. This will remove the soy sauce stain.

Method 3: Use fresh lotus root. Cut the lotus root with a knife and apply fresh lotus root juice to the soy sauce stain. After 10 minutes, rinse with water to remove the soy sauce stain.

  5. Cleaning Paint from Clothes:

What should you do if paint gets on your clothes? Apply cooling oil to the affected area, as the substances in cooling oil can dissolve the paint. Rinse thoroughly. Water-soluble paint (such as water-soluble paint and latex paint) and household interior paint

can be removed with a quick rinse. If nylon fabric is stained with paint, first apply lard and rub it, then rinse with detergent and rinse thoroughly.

  6. Cleaning Grass Stains:

Prepare 100 grams of salt and 1000 grams of water. Pour the water into a container and stir it by hand. Place the grass-stained clothing in a basin and soak in the salt water for 10 minutes. Rinse the clothing in the water and you will find that stubborn grass stains are easily removed.

  7. Cleaning Dyed Clothes

: Fill the washing machine with warm water and start the rinse cycle. Add 84 disinfectant (about one-third of a bottle of disinfectant to half a tub of water), dissolve and dilute, add the clothes, close the lid, and rinse for about 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, remove the clothes and let them air dry. The original color will return.

To prevent fading, add some salt to the water (one teaspoon per bucket of water) for new clothes. Rinse thoroughly with clean water immediately after washing. Do not soak for too long! Finally, avoid direct sunlight, as it can denature the dye. Place in a cool, well-ventilated area to air dry.

  8. Cleaning Blood Stains

: Immediately wash with cold water or light salt water (do not use hot water, as blood contains proteins that coagulate when heated and are difficult to dissolve). Then, rinse

with soap or a 10% potassium iodide solution. White radish juice or mashed carrots mixed with salt can also be used to remove blood stains.

Rub the stain with a 10% tartaric acid solution and rinse with cold water.

Enzyme-based laundry detergent is particularly effective.

For older stains, wipe with 10% ammonia or 3% hydrogen peroxide, wait for a while, and then rinse with cold water.

If stains remain lingering, rinse with a 10-15% oxalic acid solution and rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Both new and old stains can be cleaned by rubbing with sulfur soap.

Apply hand oil to the bloodstain and leave it on for about 15 minutes before washing with soap and water.

  9. Easily remove mildew spots from clothes.

Due to hot, humid weather and seasonal changes, mildew easily grows on washed clothes, especially white clothes. Once mildew appears, it can be quite frustrating.

Don't worry, there are many ways to deal with these mildew spots:

Place tender mung bean sprouts on the mildew spot and rub them vigorously with your hands. Doesn't it make it cleaner? put some mung bean sprouts and continue rubbing. Hum, the color is much lighter. Rub it again. The hard work pays off. The mildew spots are gone. Finally, rinse with clean water. Haha, it's that simple. The problem is solved.

The mildew stains on clothes can be exposed to sunlight first, then clean the mildew with a brush, and then wash it off with alcohol.

Soak the mildew-contaminated clothes in strong soapy water, take them out with the soapy water, put them in the sun for a while, soak them repeatedly several times, and after the mildew spots are removed, rinse them with clean water.

Silk clothes can be washed with citric acid, then rinse with cold water.

Mildew stains on linen fabrics can be cleaned with calcium chloride solution.

  Stains on wool fabrics can also be cleaned with mustard solution or borax solution (add two tablespoons of mustard or two tablespoons of borax to a bucket of water);

wipe with 2% soap alcohol solution (add a handful of soft soap flakes to 250 grams of alcohol and stir evenly), then wipe with 3-5% sodium hypochlorite of bleach or hydrogen peroxide, and finally wash. This method is only suitable for white clothing. Old stains can be soaked in the solution for one hour.

  10. Cleaning Gentian Red and Gentian

Purple: Gentian red stains can be cleaned with white vinegar first, then rinsed with clean water.

Alternatively, soak the area with the gentian red stain, scrub with glycerin, and then repeatedly rinse with an ammonia-containing soap solution. Adding a few drops of dilute acetic acid and then washing with soapy

water will achieve better results. For gentian violet stains, dilute a small amount of sodium hypochlorite with boiling water and rub with a small brush. Repeatedly scrub with sodium hypochlorite and clean water until completely removed. (Do not use on wool, re-dyed clothing, silk, or direct dyes!!)

  11. Cleaning Plasters

: If plasters get on clothing, rub the stain with a few drops of rubbing alcohol and water (or sorghum liquor is also acceptable). Rub the stain onto the area until the plaster is completely removed, then rinse with clean water. Alternatively, rub with roasted alum powder and then rinse with water.

Alternatively, sprinkle baking soda on the stain, add some warm water, and rub several times to remove it. Heat alkaline noodles in a spoon, sprinkle them on the stain, and then rub them with warm water for faster removal.

  12. Cleaning Yellowed Clothes

: Yellowing is often caused by a weakening of the fluorescent agent. To restore your clothes' whiteness and brightness, you need a solution.

Rice water + orange peels: Simple and effective:

Reserve rice water or boil orange peels in a pot with water. Soak yellowed clothes in the water and rub them to easily restore their whiteness. This method is simple, unlike commercially available fluorescent brighteners, which can cause skin side effects and are gentle on fabrics, making it a worthwhile try.

Yellow stains caused by sweat can be removed with ammonia: Because sweat contains fat, it easily clumps into fabric fibers. Therefore, add about 2 tablespoons of ammonia to the wash cycle. Soak for a few minutes, rub, and then rinse with clean water. Follow your normal laundry routine to remove yellowed sweat stains!

  13. Cleaning Beer and Rice Wine Stains:

Fresh stains can be removed by rubbing them immediately in clean water.

Old stains can be washed with clean water first, then rubbed with a mixture of 2% ammonia and borax, and finally rinsed with water. For old

rice wine stains, after washing with clean water, wipe the stained area with a 5% borax solution and 3% hydrogen peroxide, and finally rinse with clean water.

  14. Cleaning Juice Stains:
For fresh stains, wipe the stained area with concentrated salt water, or immediately sprinkle salt on the stain, gently rub it with your hands, moisten it with water, and then immerse it in a detergent solution. Alternatively, use warm water and soap to vigorously wash it.

After removing heavy and old stains, neutralize the organic acids in the juice with 5% ammonia, and then rinse with detergent. Wool-containing synthetic fiber blends can be cleaned with tartaric acid.

For white fabrics, add a few drops of ammonia to 3% hydrogen peroxide. Use a cotton ball or cloth dipped in this solution to wet the stained area, then wipe with a clean cloth and dry in the shade.

Wipe the stained area with a 3-5% sodium hypochlorite solution and rinse with clean water. For older stains, soak the fabric in the solution for 1-2 hours before scrubbing and rinsing.

Peach juice stains, which contain high-valent iron, can be removed with an oxalic acid solution. Persimmon stains can be immediately rubbed with a mixture of wine and concentrated salt water, then rinsed with a solution of warm detergent and rinsed with clean water.

Tomato sauce stains can be scraped off and then rinsed with warm detergent. Jam can be moistened with water and scrubbed with shampoo, then washed with a soapy alcohol solution and rinsed with clean water.

  15. Cleaning Rust :

Do you often encounter this when doing household chores?

Take a fresh lemon, squeeze its juice, drop it onto the rust stain, and rub it with your hands. Repeat several times until the stain is gone, then rinse with soapy water.

  16. Cleaning Iodine:

For iodine stains, first rub it with a solution of starch (starch immediately turns black when it comes into contact with iodine), then gently rinse with soapy water.

Light iodine stains can be removed with hot water, alcohol, or a potassium iodide solution. Heavier stains can be removed by immersing the material in a warm solution of 15-20% baking soda for about two hours, then rinsing with clean water.

  17. Cleaning Ink Stains:

When ink stains are found on wool or fabric, first rinse with hot or boiling water, then rub with soapy water, and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Never use cold water, as this will cause the color to penetrate the fibers, making it difficult to remove.

  18. Cleaning Butter Stains

: Since butter stains are primarily composed of fat, they can be removed with alcohol or ammonia.

  19. Cleaning Lipstick Stains

: Women who wear makeup probably fear getting lipstick stains on their clothes when undressing.

If lipstick stains are found, first gently scrub with a small brush dipped in gasoline to remove any grease, then rinse with a warm detergent solution.

If gasoline is unavailable, sparkling mineral water or club soda can be poured onto a clean cloth and dabbed on the affected area. This is very effective!

  20. Cleaning Tea and Coffee Stains :

Clothes stained by beverages like tea and coffee can be immediately washed in 70-80% hot water to remove them.

Old tea stains can be removed by soaking in concentrated salt water or rubbing with a mixture of ammonia and glycerin (1:10). Avoid using ammonia on silk and wool fabrics; instead, rub with a 10% glycerin solution, then rinse with detergent and rinse with water. Old

tea and coffee stains can be removed by wiping with a mixture of glycerin and egg yolk, letting it dry slightly, then rinsing with clean water. Alternatively, apply glycerin to the stain, sprinkle a few grains of borax on it, and rinse with boiling water. Alternatively, you can use diluted ammonia, borax, and warm water.

Old coffee stains can be wiped with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, then rinse with clean water. Alternatively, you can use salt or glycerin solution.

  21. Removing Candle Wax

: First, gently scrape off the surface wax with a knife. Then, place two pieces of straw paper above and below the stain. Iron the stain two or three times. The heat from the iron melts the wax within the fabric fibers, and the melted wax is absorbed by the straw paper. Repeat this process several times, and the candle wax stain will be completely removed.

  22. Removing Chewing Gum:

For clothing with gum stuck on it, use a cotton ball dipped in vinegar to easily remove the gum.

For gum stains on clothing, first scrape them off with a knife, then rub egg white over the stain to loosen it. Then, wipe each piece individually. Finally, wash in soapy water and rinse with clean water.

You can also wrap the clothing in a plastic bag and freeze it in the refrigerator for half a day. Once the gum has hardened, remove it and gently rub it. The gum will quickly fall off, leaving no trace!

  23. How to Wash White Sneakers

: When it comes to white sneakers, you might have experienced the same frustration: your meticulously clean shoes end up with yellowish marks after drying. It's truly unsightly! Try this trick from enthusiastic viewer Ms. Yu to keep your white shoes looking as bright and white as new!

First, scrub your shoes clean with soap or laundry detergent. Soak them in beer for three minutes. Then, take them to the balcony, place them in the shade, and cover them with toilet paper to air dry. The results are remarkable!

  24. How to Wash Towels:

Towels often become damp and sticky after use. Rubbing them with salt and then washing them with clean water can remove the stickiness.

  25. Removing Pen Stains:

Someone online asked, "How to remove pen stains?" Here's a tip for your reference:

Buy some oxalic acid (granular) from a chemical store. Soak and scrub the pen-stained clothing in water dissolved in oxalic acid to remove the stain. Since oxalic acid is a weak acid, it won't corrode clothing.

  1. Cleaning Dirt

  1. If you accidentally get tea stains, there are two ways to deal with them: fresh tea stains can be rinsed and rubbed with hot water, while older tea stains can be washed with concentrated salt water.

  2. If your clothes are stained with soy sauce, fresh stains can be washed with cold water first and then with detergent. For older soy sauce stains, add a small amount of ammonia to the detergent, or try scrubbing with alcohol to slightly remove the stain.

  2. Color fading and accidental staining of clothes:

Adding some vinegar to the water or soaking the clothes in salt water for a while can improve the problem of easy fading. If you don't want clothes to be stained during the washing process, be sure to wash dark and light colors separately before washing. If you must wash them together, at least use a laundry bag to separate them.

  3. The problem of clothes tangling in the washing machine: The problem

of clothes tangling depends on the type of washing machine. Generally speaking, whirlpool washing machines are more prone to tangling than agitator and drum washing machines. If your washing machine is prone to tangling clothes, you can buy laundry pods at the supermarket or throw a few empty beverage bottles into the washing machine to reduce this.

  4. Special Washing Methods for Certain Clothes:

Clothes generally have labels sewn onto them; follow the instructions on these labels. Clothes that shrink and wrinkle easily, such as silk, wool, and rayon, are more difficult to clean and should be left at a reliable laundromat.

Proper washing methods not only extend the life of your beloved clothes but also keep them looking fresh and shiny.

  Laundry Tips:

Wrap white sneakers in paper towels after washing and air dry to prevent yellowing.

  Stain Removal Guide:

  * Collars/Cuffs: Soak the garment in warm water with laundry detergent for 15-20 minutes before washing normally.

  * Yellowed white socks: Soak in a laundry detergent solution for 30 minutes before washing normally.

  * Milk stains: Pre-treat the stain with laundry detergent and then wash normally. For stubborn stains, you may need to use a non-toxic bleach.

*Common oil stains: Pre-treat with a strong detergent and then wash normally. If possible, bleach can be used for stubborn stains.

Removing Glue and Glue-Based Pigment Stains:

Glue and glue-based pigment stains on clothing are difficult to remove and require appropriate removal methods.

  1. Removing All-Purpose Glue Stains

: For all-purpose glue stains on clothing, apply drops of acetone or banana water to the stain

and scrub repeatedly with a brush until the stain softens and releases from the fabric. Rinse with clean water. If this method fails, scrub several times until it is finally removed. Avoid using this method on fabrics containing acetate to avoid damaging the fabric.

  2. Removing White Glue Stains

: White glue is a synthetic resin, a polyvinyl acetate emulsion. Its characteristic is that it adheres to most cellulosic materials, except for nylon silk, so it adheres firmly to clothing. It is also soluble in a variety of solutions. We will use these characteristics to find a removal method. Soak white latex stains on clothing in 60°C white wine or a mixture of 8:2 alcohol (95%) and water. After soaking for about half an hour, scrub with water until completely removed, then rinse with clean water.

  3. Removing Chewing Gum Stains

: For chewing gum stains on clothing, first use raw egg white to remove the adhesive from the surface of the clothing. Then, wipe off any loose particles one by one. Finally, wash in a soapy solution and rinse with clean water. For non-washable fabrics, apply carbon tetrachloride to remove any remaining stains.

  4. Removing Glue Stains:

For stains like glue on clothing, soak the affected area in warm water. Once the stain dissolves, rub it with your hands until it is completely removed. Then, rinse again with warm detergent and rinse with clean water.

  5. Removing Watercolor Stains:

Watercolors used in painting contain a suitable amount of water-soluble colloid to enhance color fastness. When clothing is stained with watercolor, first dissolve the colloid in the stain with hot water. Then, use detergent or dilute ammonia to bleach it, and finally rinse with clean water. White clothing can be bleached with hydrogen peroxide.

  How to Clean

Blood Stains from Clothing: Blood stains are common and appear frequently. Here are the cleaning methods:

  1. Fresh Blood Stains: Fresh blood on any fabric can be removed by washing with water. First, wash with clean, cold water, then with soapy water or laundry detergent. Using hot water will not only fail to remove the stain, but will also leave indelible marks on the clothing.

  2. For older blood stains, rub with a mixture of 2 parts borax, 1 part 10% ammonia, and 20 parts water. Once the stain is removed, rinse with clean water. Older blood stains can also be removed with a mixture of lemon juice and salt water.

  3. For blood stains on fine dyed silk and wool garments, boil starch and water into a paste. Apply the paste to the stain and let it dry. Once completely dry, scrape off the starch and wash with soapy water, then rinse with clean water. Finally, wash with a solution of 15 grams of vinegar to 1 liter of water for excellent results.

  4. For blood stains on white clothing, dilute 1 part sodium thiosulfate to 50 parts water, heat to 35°C, and soak the garment in the hot solution until the color disappears. Then rinse with water. If the blood stain on white clothing is older and firmly adhered to the garment due to cooking, use "Fade Aid." Alternatively, soak the stain in a 5% baking soda solution or ammonia solution overnight, remove the stain, and then soak the stain in a bleach solution (1 part bleach to 10 parts water). Rinse thoroughly with water. To remove blood stains from white fabrics, you can also soak the fabric in a 3% vinegar solution, let it sit for 12 hours, and then rinse with water. This also works well.

Removing Soy Sauce, Broth, Sauce, and Milk Stains from Clothing

: 1. Fresh soy sauce stains should be scrubbed with cold water before washing with detergent. Old soy sauce stains can be removed by adding ammonia to the detergent solution, or using a 2% borax solution. Rinse with clean water.

  2. Broth, sauce, and milk stains should be wiped with gasoline first. Once the grease is removed, rinse with a diluted solution of 10% ammonia to 5 parts water, then rinse thoroughly with water.

  3. For soup, sauce, or milk stains on brightly colored wool or silk fabrics, soak the stain in 35°C hot glycerin and gently rub with a brush. After a quarter of an hour, rinse with a cotton ball or cloth dipped in 25-30°C warm water. A mixture of 20 parts glycerin and 1 part 10% ammonia can also be used.

  4. For general soup, sauce, or milk stains on clothing, moisten the stain with acetone, scrub with a soft cloth, then rinse with 2% ammonia solution. Finally, rinse several times with clean water until clean.

  Removing Mold from Clothing :

Mold on clothing is common in households, especially during the rainy season. Here's how to remove mold stains:

  1. For extremely difficult-to-clean mold stains on clothing, wipe with a hot hydrogen peroxide solution or bleach solution at 35-60°C, then rinse thoroughly with water.

  2. Mildew stains on cotton and linen fabrics should be soaked in a solution of 20 grams of ammonia in 1 liter of water, then rinsed thoroughly.

  3. Mildew stains on silk and wool fabrics should be scrubbed with a cotton ball dipped in turpentine and then exposed to sunlight to remove moisture.

  Removing Vomit Stains:

Vomiting is common with motion sickness (seasickness, airsickness), as well as illness or intoxication. The following are the cleaning methods for vomit stains:

  1. For common vomit stains, first use gasoline to remove the greasy components of the stain, then wipe with a 5% ammonia solution, and rinse with clean water.

  2. For older vomit stains, first prepare a 10% ammonia solution, then moisten the stain with a cotton ball dipped in the ammonia solution. Then, wipe the stain with alcohol and soapy water, and finally rinse with clean water until it is completely removed.

  Removing Grease Stains:

Grease stains, commonly known as oil stains, are insoluble in water. These stains should be removed from clothing by wiping or scrubbing with organic solvents such as gasoline, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene, alcohol, acetone, ammonia water, banana oil, turpentine, and benzene. Other effective removal methods are also available.

  1. Removing Animal and Plant Oil Stains: Animal and

plant oil stains are common stains on clothing and are also polar liquid stains. These stains should be removed by wiping or scrubbing with organic solvents such as gasoline and tetrachloroethylene. When scrubbing, use a towel or cotton cloth to absorb the solution removed from the clothing. Avoid leaving any stain on the clothing after the solution evaporates, which can leave marks. If marks do occur, remove them by repeated wiping or scrubbing over a wider area. Alternatively, apply water to the stained area and spray with a high-pressure spray gun.

  2. Removing Pine Oil Stains :

Pine oil can easily get on clothing when transporting pine wood, so it should be removed promptly. Since pine oil dissolves in alcohol, you can apply alcohol or a mixture of alcohol and turpentine to the stain. Once the pine oil has softened and dissolved, wipe with a damp towel to absorb it. If any traces remain, scrub with gasoline. Repeat several times until the stain is clear.

  3. Removing Tung Oil Stains:

Tung oil is a viscous vegetable oil that dries quickly and is difficult to remove from clothing. You can scrub with gasoline or kerosene to dissolve the oil and remove it. Then, use alcohol soap to remove any remaining traces. It's best to wash the clothing again with detergent to completely remove any traces.

  4. Removing Butter Stains:

Butter is a viscous animal fat that can be scrubbed with toluene or carbon tetrachloride. Any traces can be removed with a mixture of alcohol and ammonia, or alcohol soap.

  5. Removing Curry Stains

: To remove curry stains from clothing, first moisten the stain with clean water, then scrub in warm glycerin at 50°C, and finally rinse with clean water. If the garment is made of cotton or linen, scrub it with a 10% ammonia solution. If it is made of silk or wool, scrub it with a 10% dilute acetic acid solution and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Curry stains on white clothing can be scrubbed with a 5% sodium hypochlorite solution, followed by detergent and a final rinse with clean water.

  6. Removing Machine Grease Stains:

For lighter machine grease stains, scrub with gasoline. Then, place blotting paper or cloth above and below the grease stain and iron it with an iron to further evaporate the oil, allowing it to be absorbed by the paper or cloth. Repeat this process until all the grease is absorbed. Finally, wash with detergent and rinse thoroughly with clean water. For darker machine grease stains, rinse with high-quality gasoline, then iron with blotting paper or cloth to absorb it, and finally rinse thoroughly with warm water.

  7. Removing Candle Grease Stains:

Washing alone will not remove candle wax stains from clothing. First, rub off the wax on the surface of the clothing by hand. Then, place blotting paper or other absorbent paper above and below the stain and iron it. The heat will melt the candle, and the melted wax will be absorbed by the paper. If it doesn't come off immediately, repeat the process several times until the wax is completely removed.

  8. Removing Chimney Grease Stains

: If chimney grease drips onto clothing, immediately soak the clothing in water to prevent oxidation. Then, sprinkle crystalline oxalic acid powder on the affected area and rub repeatedly until it is largely removed. Finally, wash with detergent and rinse thoroughly with clean water.

  9. Removing Kerosene Stains: Kerosene stains

are non-polar liquids. If kerosene stains aren't removed promptly, they will leave yellow marks on clothing, especially on white fabrics. To remove kerosene stains, sprinkle chalk or magnesium oxide powder on the stain. After a few days, remove it with a clean powder. The powder's adsorption will cause the kerosene stain to disappear without a trace.

  10. Removing Smoke Stains:

Red or purple velvet garments exposed to smoke often become dull and sometimes develop black spots. This is due to the dye's reaction to carbon dioxide. In this case, simply spraying with alkaline water will restore the original color.

  11. Removing Cigarette Stains:

Cigarette stains can be removed by scrubbing repeatedly with a 1% to 2% potassium permanganate solution, then rubbing repeatedly with 3% hydrogen peroxide, and finally rinsing with clean water. 12. Removing Shoe Polish Stains: Shoe polish stains can be removed by wiping with volatile oil, then using warm detergent to remove any remaining residue. White clothing stained with shoe polish should be moistened with gasoline and rubbed, then scrubbed with 10% ammonia or concentrated ammonia soap, and finally rinsed with warm water.

  12. Removing Asphalt Stains : Asphalt

stains on woolen clothing are difficult to remove with soap or gasoline. If the asphalt hasn't dried yet, rub it in turpentine or benzene, then scrub with soap and rinse thoroughly with water. If the asphalt has already dried, soak the asphalt-stained clothing in a 1:1 mixture of turpentine and ether for 10 minutes. Rub it out, squeeze it dry, and then wipe it with gasoline. After scrubbing, scrub it with soap and rinse thoroughly with water.

  13. Removing Wax Correction Fluid Stains:

If wax correction fluid accidentally gets on clothing, apply a drop of alcohol to the stain, rub repeatedly, and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Once it dries, the stain will be removed.

When washing brightly colored clothing, in addition to washing as usual, add two or three tablespoons of milk powder to the water during the final rinse and scrub vigorously. After drying, the colors of the clothing will appear extra vibrant.

For greasy clothing, adding an appropriate amount of dishwashing liquid to the laundry detergent can achieve satisfactory results.

Avoid washing printed fabrics in a washing machine with a pure alkaline detergent solution, and avoid soaking printed fabrics in soapy water overnight, as this will diminish the print's luster and affect its strength.

When washing clothes, consider adding some salt to the water, stirring well, and then washing with this water. This not only improves stain removal but also prevents fading.

  Selecting a wash cycle:

When washing a small amount of clothes, setting the water level too high will cause the clothes to float around in the high water, lacking friction, resulting in poor cleaning and wasting water. Currently, washing machine manufacturers have developed more water level ranges, refining the water level and lowering the start water level by half. The wash function can be set to one, two, or three rinses, allowing users to choose different wash water levels and wash cycles to suit their needs, thereby saving water.

  Pre-soaking reduces water consumption:

The wash time depends on the type of fabric and the degree of soiling. Soaking clothes before washing can reduce the number of rinses and water consumption.

  Proper amount of detergent

The amount of detergent added (i.e. the concentration of detergent in the water when the washing machine is at the right water level) should be controlled. This is the key to the rinsing process and the key to saving water and electricity. Taking a washing machine with a rated washing capacity of 2 kg as an example, low-water-level, low-foaming detergent requires about 40 grams when the washing capacity is small and about 50 grams when the water level is high. According to the amount used, the optimal detergent concentration is 0.1% to 0.3%. The solution with this concentration has the highest surface activity and the best decontamination effect. There are many types of detergents on the market with different functions, and you can choose according to your family's habits. Adding too much detergent will inevitably increase the difficulty and frequency of rinsing.

  Wash clothes together When

there are too few clothes, do not wash them. When there are more clothes, wash them together. This is also a way to save water.

  Make full use of rinsing

  (1) Increase the number of rinsing times. The amount of water used for each rinse should be less rather than more, so as to basically submerge the clothes. (2) Use the same amount of rinsing water each time. (3) After each rinse, wring out the clothes as much as possible and then add clean water. (4) If you save the rinse water for the next batch of clothes, you can save 30-40 liters of water at a time.

  Tips for washing clothes

  1) Rescue strategies for yellowed clothes

Clothes turn yellow, mostly due to the weakening of fluorescent agents. If you want to restore your clothes to their whiteness and brightness, you have to find a way.

Rice water + orange peels are simple and effective:

save the rice water or put orange peels in a pot with water and boil them. Then soak the yellowed clothes in it and scrub them to easily

restore the clothes to their whiteness. Not only is it simple, but it does not have side effects on the skin like fluorescent whitening agents sold on the market and does not damage

the fabric. It is a good method worth trying.

Yellow stains caused by sweat can be removed with ammonia:

Sweat stains caused by sweat contain fat and are easily condensed in the fabric fibers. Therefore, add about

2 tablespoons of ammonia when washing. After soaking for a few minutes, scrub it and then rinse with clean water. Follow the normal washing process

to remove the yellow sweat stains!

  2) Sometimes, white or light-colored clothing can yellow over time. The primary

cause of yellowing in white or light-colored clothing is body oils, especially polyester fabrics, which are more susceptible to yellowing. Another cause is residual

soap residue from washing (most notably found in flax fibers). If not rinsed thoroughly, this can cause widespread yellowing.

There are ways to remove this phenomenon, such as using a generous amount of detergent when washing high-temperature washable clothing

. A traditional method is to hang the yellowed clothing in the sun. Before doing so, spray the yellowed areas

with fresh lemon juice, add some salt, and gently rub.

Warning: Be careful and avoid using chlorine bleach. Fabrics like spandex, silk, and wool

will yellow further if exposed to chlorine bleach.

  3) White clothing can yellow over time. Yellow stains are primarily composed of protein, and spinach, when boiled

, releases protein-soluble components. 1. Buy a handful of spinach, and after hot water, pick up the spinach and

leave it. Roll the soup for later use.

  2. Put the yellow stains in spinach water and rub it for 10 minutes.

  3. After soaking, pick up the clothes and wash the clothes according to the normal laundry procedure. Completely. The clothes are white again!

  Laundry tips for washing:

  1. Clean white clothes and

white socks. The stubborn stains on white clothes are difficult to eradicate. At this time, take a lemon slice and boil it in water and soak the white clothes in water

. Clean it after about 15 minutes.

  2. Clean the strange smell of clothes .

Sometimes, due to improper drying, there will be an unpleasant sweating and soaking smell of clothes. Take white vinegar and water to soak the smelly clothes for about

five minutes, and then dry the clothes in a ventilated place!

  3. Deal with the pen marks on clothes.

Haha, this is something that almost everyone will encounter:

first pour alcohol on the scratches of the tap fountain pen on the clothes. Each scratch should be evenly covered with alcohol. Alcohol

should be selected with a concentration of no less than 75%. Pour the alcohol on the clothes upwards, try not to touch

other sides of the clothes, otherwise the color of the pen or ballpoint pen may dye other parts of the clothes. Use

a normal washbasin and prepare half a basin of water. Then pour the bleaching water full of two bottles of caps into the clean water. Be careful that it is enough

to fill two bottles of caps. Stir and add a little washing powder, you can control this amount by yourself. Then

stir a little later to allow the washing powder to dissolve fully in water. Okay, now I'll completely soak my clothes in water, and it's

twenty minutes. Time is up, cleaning clothes, and there is no mark at all!

If the marks are ballpoint pens and the marks are heavy, if there are still remains after using the above method, finally rub them gently with toothpaste and soap

, and then rinse them with clean water. (But it is strictly forbidden to soak it in boiling water!!!)

There is another solution to the marks of the clothes when they are dipped in the pen: that is, don’t rush to put the clothes in water, but

wash the dipped parts with steam oil first and then wash them.

  4. Clean the soy sauce stains on the clothes

. Method 1: Use sugar. First soak the stained area with water, then sprinkle a spoonful of sugar and

rub it with your hands. We can see that some of the soy sauce traces have been stained on the sugar, and then washed with water to remove the stains.

Method 2: Use soda powder. Soak the white vest, apply soda powder on the area stained with soy sauce,

and wash it with clean water to remove the soy sauce stains.

Method 3: You need to use fresh lotus root, use a knife to cut the fresh lotus root, apply fresh lotus root juice to the soy sauce stains

, and wash them in water after 10 minutes to remove the soy sauce stains.

  5. Clean and paint on clothes .

What should I do if I rub paint on clothes? The method is to apply cooling oil to the part where the paint is adhered, because

the substances contained in the cooling oil can dissolve the paint and then rinse it clean. If it is stained with water-soluble paint (such as water-soluble paint, latex paint) and

  household interior wall paint, wash it with water in time;

if the nylon fabric is stained with paint, you can first apply lard and rub it, then soak it with detergent and rinse it clean with clean water.

  6. Clean the grass stains

. You need to prepare 100 grams of salt, and you also need to prepare 1,000 grams of clean water. Pour the water into a container, stir well with your hands,

put the clothes stained with grass into a basin, and soak them in salt water for 10 minutes. Wash the clothes in water, and you will find that you

can easily wash away the stubborn grass stains.

  7. Clean and dyed clothes .

Put warm water in the washing machine, start the washing machine for rinsing, add 84 disinfectant, add about one-third of the bottle of water in half a tank of water.

Disinfect and dilute, put in the clothes, cover the cover, rinse for about 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, take out the clothes.

After the clothes are dried, they will return to their original color.

If you want to avoid the clothes from fading, you must put some salt (a bucket of water, one teaspoon) in the water

after washing, rinse it with clean water immediately, and don’t soak it for too long! Finally, do not expose it in the sun, as the dye will degenerate

. It should be placed in a cool and ventilated place to dry:)

  8. Clean the blood stains

. When it is just stained, wash it with cold water or light salt water immediately (hot water is prohibited, because the blood contains protein, it will coagulate when heated and will not

  dissolve easily), and then wash it with soap or 10% potassium iodide solution;

  use white radish juice or mashed carrot salt to remove blood stains;

  use 10% tartaric acid solution to wipe the stains, and then wash it with cold water;

  use enzyme-added washing powder to remove blood stains, which is very effective;

if the staining time is long, you can wipe the stains with 10% ammonia or 3% hydrogen peroxide, and then wash it with cold water for a while.

If it is still unclean, wash it with 10-15% oxalic acid solution and finally rinse it with clean water.

Whether it is new or old, you can use sulfur soap to rub and clean.

Apply the blood stains with hand oil, stay for about 15 minutes, and wash them with clean water soap.

  9. Easily wash off mold spots on clothes.

Because the weather is hot and humid, or when the season changes, washing clothes are prone to mold spots, especially white clothes

. Once mold spots are grown, it is very depressing.

It doesn’t matter, there are many ways to deal with these moldy spots:

mung bean sprouts; put the tender mung bean sprouts on the moldy spots and rub them hard with both hands. Isn’t it cleaner? Add some more

mung bean sprouts and rub them. Humph, the color is much lighter. Rub them again. The effort will pay off. The mold spots are gone. Finally,

rinse them with clean water. Haha, it’s that simple, the problem will be solved.

The mold spots on the clothes can be exposed to the sunlight first, then clean with a brush, and then washed with alcohol.

Put the clothes contaminated by the mold spots into thick soapy water, take them out with soapy water, let them in the sun for a while

  , soak them repeatedly. After the mold spots are removed, then rinse them with clean water;

  silk clothes can be washed with citric acid, and then rinsed with cold water;

  mold stains on linen fabrics can be washed with calcium chloride solution;

stains on wool fabrics can also be washed with mustard solution or borax solution (add two tablespoons of mustard or borax to a bucket of water)

  ; wipe

with 2% soap alcohol solution (add a handful of soft soap slices into 250 grams of alcohol, stir evenly), and then use bleach 3- Wipe

5% sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide and wash it. This method is limited to white clothing, and the old traces can

be soaked in solution for 1 hour.

  10. Clean red and purple

  potions. The red potions stains can be washed with white vinegar first, then rinsed with clean water;

in addition, the red potions stains can be soaked first, then brushed with glycerin, and then washed repeatedly with ammonia soap. If a few drops of dilute acetic acid solution are added

  and then washed

with soapy water, the effect will be better. When dealing with purple potions stains, a small amount of insurance powder can be diluted with boiling water and wiped with a small brush dipped in the solution.

Scrub with insurance powder and clean water repeatedly until it is removed (baked sticky materials, dyed clothes, silk and direct dye coloring are prohibited!!)

  11. Cleaning plasters

Sometimes when the plaster is rubbed with plaster, you can add a few drops of water (or sorghum wine) and place it in a place stained with plaster.

Rub, wait until the plaster is clean, rinse with clean water, or knead with baked alum, and wash it with water.

You can also sprinkle alkali noodles on the dirt, add some warm water, and rub it a few times to remove it. If the alkaline surface is placed in an iron spoon and then
