Bedside table blocks wardrobe door, 5 ways to solve it1.15

This issue has been discussed in a special topic before. Today, I will discuss various solutions in detail, and you can refer to them when applying them in practice.

The first one: The simplest way is to disconnect the cabinet door.

▲As shown in the picture, if the custom wardrobe uses a finished bedside table, the innermost part that overlaps with the bedside table should be disconnected so that it will not conflict with the bedside table during normal use.
▲The first method is to disconnect the small cabinet door and connect it to the right side, so that the space here can be used; the second method is to remove the upper partition and put the clothes hanging above directly into the dead corner space to make use of it.
▲The second method is to disconnect the lower part and open up the space above, so that the clothes hanging above can be put down and the dead space below can be reasonably utilized.
▲If you place a finished desk or dressing table, you can also use a disconnected design, but it is not recommended to place a finished desk near the wardrobe. It is more appropriate to customize it directly, and the color is more unified.
Note: No matter how you do it, the space here cannot be wasted. Secondly, don’t just pay attention to the height of the bedside table, but also the width of the door. It must be larger than the finished bedside table. Otherwise, if the depth of the bedside table behind is larger than one door, it will block the opening of the second door.
Second, use alcoves instead of bedside tables.
For small spaces, it not only realizes the function of a bedside table, but also saves a bedside table.
▲As shown in the picture, a hollow niche is made directly at the position of the first disconnection, which also satisfies the function of a bedside table and avoids the problem of conflict between the finished bedside table and the cabinet door.
▲As shown in the picture, the platform bed is designed in the niche below the wardrobe, which can meet the storage needs of the bedside table and avoid conflict with the cabinet door.
▲Remove one door and create a hollow niche design to avoid conflicts between the door and the bedside table, while taking into account storage and book storage
▲Partially hollowed out and extended custom bedside table to resolve the conflict with the cabinet door and increase the storage space of the bedside table
▲The hollow niche extends the storage of a bedside table to avoid conflict with the cabinet door and increase the storage surface of the bedside table
▲The hollow niche extends a custom bedside table to expand more storage space and avoid the conflict between the finished bedside table and the cabinet door
▲The lower part of the wardrobe is partially hollowed out to make an L-shaped drawer for storage, while the niche can accommodate more handy storage
▲As shown in the picture, the whole niche is suspended to make a drawer, which not only avoids the deformation problem of a door to the top, but also makes the vision more flexible and creates a better atmosphere with the lighting.
▲No bedside table, a door is completely hollowed out for display or classification storage, which also meets the function of a bedside table
▲It is made into a niche directly, and a row of drawers are placed below for classified storage. The niche can also meet the function of a bedside table for easy storage.
▲You can also extend the niche below to function as a bedside table
Third: Hanging Drawer Bedside Table
▲A bedside table drawer is extended under the wardrobe to meet the function of a bedside table and avoid the conflict between the finished bedside table and the cabinet door.
▲As shown in the picture, the niche + suspended drawer can meet the function of the bedside table. At the same time, there is a hidden drawer below to avoid conflict with the cabinet door.
▲The bottom of the wardrobe is all made of drawers, without bedside tables, so that it can meet the needs of classified storage, and at the same time, the drawers can be opened to meet the function of a bedside table
▲An extended suspended drawer meets the function and avoids conflict with the cabinet door
▲As shown in the picture, a fixed drawer is extended, and the upper wardrobe is partially hollowed out for display items or book layout
▲As shown in the picture, a drawer bedside table is extended in the air to meet the function and avoid conflict with the cabinet door.
▲You can also customize suspended drawers symmetrically on both sides to meet the functions of bedside tables on both sides
▲The suspended bedside table can also be decorated with lights to increase the atmosphere of the bedroom
▲You can also extend a bedside table in the air, and make drawers for storage horizontally. This can avoid the conflict between the finished bedside table and the cabinet door, and also avoid the deformation problem of the cabinet door from the top.
4. Hide the bedside table
▲Instead of a bedside table, make a hidden drawer that can be pulled out. Pull it out when in use and hide it when not in use. It will be more beautiful.
▲The same principle is used to make a hidden bedside table using tracks or pulleys. It can be pulled out when in use and hidden when not in use.
▲You can also use the drawer-in-drawer method. As shown in the picture, it can be pulled out to form a bedside table, and there are two small drawers on the side to meet the storage needs.
▲You can also make three drawers directly, without a bedside table, and pull out the ultra-thin drawer on the top to use as a bedside table for easy storage
▲You can also combine the niche with the drawer, which can be classified and stored at ordinary times, and the niche can meet the needs of placing things at hand
▲You can also have two drawers + niches. The niches can be used to store items at hand, and the two drawers can be used for hidden storage.
▲As shown in the picture, the hidden bedside table not only avoids the conflict between the cabinet door and the finished bedside table, but also hides it to make the space more concise
Fifth, customize the desk/dressing table to replace the bedside table function
This is the most recommended method, because it can extend more functions and take into account the storage of the home [Don't use bedside tables, use wardrobes to extend the functions]
▲As shown in the picture, the bedside table is removed and a desk is used as a dressing table to meet the function of the bedside table while taking into account more storage; the niche above avoids the conflict between the cabinet door and the items on the desk while meeting the layout of a small number of books
▲As shown in the picture, a desk is customized and one door of the wardrobe is removed to be used as a bookshelf for storage, which can meet the needs of a study and office area.
▲As shown in the picture, if you need to store more books in the hollow space above, you can also expand the range so that more books can be stored.
▲As shown in the picture, the desk can be extended to serve as a dressing table. The hollow position above should be based on your needs and the overall design plan. At least one grid needs to be hollowed out to prevent the upper cabinet door from conflicting with the items on the desk.
