7 ways to design bedroom beds

Place the mattress directly

Many young people nowadays do not buy a bed but directly put a mattress in the bedroom. Placing the spring mattress directly in the bedroom not only saves trouble, but is also easy to move, which really makes the bedroom more flexible and free to use.

In addition, if it is a temporary second bedroom or a children's room, you can simply put a mattress instead of a traditional bed. The former saves trouble, and the latter can also prevent children from rolling off the bed and getting injured, killing two birds with one stone.

Simple rib rack

If you live in the south where the humidity is high, you cannot place the mattress directly on the bed as above. In fact, you can also add a simple slat frame under the mattress to raise it to a certain height and avoid moisture.

I've even seen people modifying things directly using cargo pallets or wooden frames. It's much cheaper than buying a bed, and the cost is almost nothing.

Floating light bed

After talking about the simple type, let’s talk about the bed with excellent floating light effect. It is a type of bed that many young people like. Compared with traditional beds, it is lighter and more beautiful.

Especially after adding the light strip to the concave area under the bed, it really feels like the bed is floating.

Of course, this type of bed, whether it is a ready-made bed or a customized one, is relatively expensive, and it depends on whether one can afford it.

Custom platform bed

If you don't want to make a tatami bed, you can actually consider a platform bed. Raise the bed and the area where the bedside table is located at the same time to mark the area for rest and sleep. You can also add light strips to the raised area to mark the steps to avoid tripping.

If you have a platform bed in the children's room, you can even put two mattresses on it like a large bunk bed for families with two children. This is a beautiful, practical and flexible bed decoration.

Half-height bed

I wonder if you have ever seen the kind of "half-high bed with lower cabinets"?

The so-called half-height means that the bed is about half the height of a body, and there is a cabinet under the bed to store coats, pants or other clothes, making full use of the vertical space. Compared with the above types of beds, it is considered to be the one with the richest storage capacity.

The raised area itself will not affect your sleep at all. I personally feel it is very practical.

Telescopic folding bed

Young people today rarely put single beds in the second bedroom. Instead, they would put a folding bed there. When not in use, they can fold it up and use it as a sofa or a small single bed. When friends and family come to stay, they can also unfold it into a double bed.

This kind of retractable folding bed is really suitable for current home decoration and is very flexible to use.

Wall Cabinet Murphy Bed

The last one is the "Murphy bed" commonly used in small apartments. The so-called Murphy bed is actually a design in which the bed is folded vertically into a cabinet. It has become more and more common in recent years.

This type of Murphy bed is often used in apartments where the living room and bedroom share a common space. The bed itself can be completely folded into the cabinet, giving it a strong sense of integration; and when folded down, it has the size of a double bed, making it extremely comfortable.

However, a bed that is repeatedly folded and deformed will naturally be cumbersome and inconvenient to use, so a balance needs to be struck.
