1. The hole between the camera and the flash on the iPhone

These markings, which you may have seen, are called eyemarks. On the production line, using optical sensors, machines know where packages need to be compressed, folded, or cut. This method involves gently pinching the other side of the banana to open the peel, and then peeling it off.

11. Why are trailers called trailers?

Trailers are shown at the beginning of a movie. Why are they called trailers? It's because they were originally shown after the movie had finished playing, but this practice didn't last long because the audience would leave the theater shortly after the movie ended.

Do you think bread originated in France? If so, you're not the only one. Given the French name, it's obvious most people would assume it originated in France. But that's not true. Croissants actually originated in Vienna, Austria.

13. Why are airplane windows round?

Airplanes initially had square windows. However, two plane crashes occurred in 1953, and the square shape of the windows was considered the cause. Where there are corners, there are weaknesses. Therefore, a square window with four corners has four weak points, making it prone to cracking under pressure. In fact, the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the window is sufficient to cause significant damage. With this in mind, engineers decided to bypass the edges of the window to distribute pressure more evenly.

14. Why are athletic shoes called athletic shoes?

Sneakers are named for their rubber soles, which do not produce noise when walking.

15. Why are the keys on the keyboard not arranged in alphabetical order?

When the typewriter was invented, the keys were arranged alphabetically. However, for certain letters (SH, TH, EA, EI, U, etc.), the typist's arm would get stuck if they typed too fast. So they simply moved the problematic letters around. This led to the QWERTY layout we have today!
